To uplift the education standards of minority community students and enhance their employability rate, the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India further announces Post-matric scholarships for students of Class 11 to PhD. Under this scheme, a total of 5 Lac seats are available which allows students to receive admission fee, tuition fee and maintenance allowance based on the class group they belong to.
·Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Minorities
Besides the Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarships, the Ministry of Minority Affairs also announces Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for students who are willing to pursue a technical or professional course from a recognized college in India. The government has sanctioned total 60,000 fresh seats for this scheme thereby awarding meritorious and underserved students with the course fee and maintenance allowance.
·Pre-Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
The Department of Disability Affairs, Government of India has initiated the scholarship scheme for students with disabilities who are studying in Class 9 and 10. A total of 46,000 scholarships are available every year that rewards students with the stipend, book and additional allowances for studies. The scheme aims at supporting disabled students pursue higher education and earn their livelihood.
·Post-Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
To enable students with disabilities, earn their livelihood, the Government of India also offers Post-Matric Scholarship opportunities for students studying in Class 11 or above. With 16,650 seats available every year, the scholarship creates an excellent opportunity to earn the book, maintenance and additional allowances along with the reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees.
