The federal units brought in to "police" Portland protests weren't really "police". They were an armed extension of the Trump Administration.
From Robert Evans: “Kicking Trump out of office won't reverse this trend... All it will do is ensure these tremendously dangerous weapons wind up in the hands of a more responsible man. Actually fixing this problem will be the work of years. And if we don't fix it — if we leave all these agencies and departments as they are, we're leaving a loaded gun on the table.”
Capitalism only values nature by how it can be exploited.
Case in point.
People in my replies be like “bUt wHaT aBoUt fRuIt TrEes and CaMpInG GrOuNdS”. Yes that’s pretty much my point. Trees are only valuable if you can make money off them or hijack them for human activities, rather than because they literally sustain life on earth.
In capitalism’s eyes, everything is but a tool or resource to make profit. Workers and nature alike. A forest is not inherently “valuable” to a capitalist; individual people are treated as “human resources” and labour for 8 - 13 hours per day, most days of their life, until they’re physically too old to continue.
We will only attain a better world when nature and people become inherently valuable, rather than something to exploit.
Ballot measure seeks to continue gig economy loopholes
The "gig economy" is just a corporate loophole through labor protections with a fancy app.
Thessaloniki, Greece – Workers have successfully self-managed the production of environmentally-friendly cleaning products for the last six years in the occupied factory Vio.Me. There are no bosses in this factory on the east side of Thessaloniki, Greece’s second largest city. Workers have been in full control since occupying the factory in 2013, two years after […]
A reminder, in light of recent coverage of them granting him permanent residency
Just a little reminder of why Snowden is still in Russia, since the media likes to leave out certain details.
A revolutionary comrade is in danger of extradition to greece from netherlands.
“A few months ago, comrade Abtin Parsa was escaped from greece to netherlands to ask for political asylum but the state of netherlands gave him a negative answer and has a plan to extradition to greece.
We call for solidarity with anarchist comrade Abtin Parsa in order to put pressure on state of netherland to not extradition him to greece.”
The new angle on the Section 230 argument is just another way to push internet censorship.
Online speech is under attack from multiple angles.

Morally it wouldn’t be wrong to kill pharmaceutical company executives
But also our elected officials have the ability to regulate this. The entire debate about drug costs neglects to discuss how it’s incredibly fix-able. They just won’t do it.
so you’re saying we should kill pharmaceutical executives AND our elected officials! i like where your head is at comrade!
I recently got a chance to do a remix for Vara Sky of the awesome track "Police Brutality Pandemic" from the album RESIST, which you should also check out.
Social media and the rise of anti-Semitism — Number to know: 988
Leave it to Politico to miss the point. The headline says "Big Tech In Trouble," but it's our privacy and free speech that I'm worried about.

The list of Biden's potential cabinet members is full of frighteningly familiar names.
Law enforcement groups in multiple states have put pressure on domestic violence organizations for standing against racism.
I'm not even looking for these stories about my old home state.
Actually not to be contrary or to be an ass but to educate - 1.6 million Americans live without indoor plumbing. There is extreme poverty in America particularly affecting First Nations communities - check out the map at the link. A lot of the places lacking indoor plumbing are reservations. If you’re able, paying rent to the people whose stolen land we are living on is one way to help.
