Rio Hikari's mother after she gave birth to a girl.

(we don't know anything about her atp, so up to you what she truly felt! ^^)

Looking down at the child, the woman adjusted her hold.

Perhaps this was still a curse in disguise rather than a blessing.

Sure, Krad wouldn’t appear in this generation…Though, it hasn’t seem as though Dark will either.

However, this girl would still be cursed with a short lifespan. Much like all the Hikaris before her.

Not to mention…She herself didn’t have too long.

So, it was better to make the most of just how much information this child would need.

Setting the child back into the cradle, the woman started to draft a letter.

“Rio, there’s something important I need to tell you…”

this is ddnangels-related: the twin Harada sisters (tho it's yet to be confirmed) being mothers to the new Hikari and Niwa generations and learning of the families' history.

“So…Had you known about that with Hiwatari-kun?” Riku asked, looking right at her younger sister.

“Well, not really?” Risa shook her head.

Cursed artists…She’d almost want to ask if this was a fairytale of sorts.

“It’s a lot to take in. What about you with Daisuke?”

About that…

Daisuke being in a family of phantom thieves…

“I can’t say I could picture Niwa-kun as the type…” She sighed.

Though it’s as the saying goes: Looks can be deceiving.

“So when are you going to stop calling him Niwa-kun~” Risa teased with a grin.

“Maybe when you stop referring to Hiwatari-kun as Hiwatari-kun.” Riku shot back.

“Hey! I’ll get to that one of these days!”

Kneeling as I offer my hands, ready to receive and swallow any Rio-themed story you feel like writing for the occasion. If there's Satoshi, I may be so blessed I'll live forever. Thank you for hosting this~

Before Satoshi’s birth, Rio hadn’t exactly cared for much. After all, she felt apathy towards all artworks and all kinds of matters. Now, the woman held him in her arms as though he was a precious jewel. She took the boy everywhere with her, something that Elm Root had noticed. “You really care for that child, don’t you?” The artwork spoke, noticing that the artist before him had a mask of nonchalance on again. “What makes you think so?” She answered with a question. “You’re keeping him fairly close.” Or was it perhaps out of some maternal instinct of sorts?

Can you imagine a little Mothers Day story about Daiki preparing a celebration for Emiko (with baby!Daisuke of course~)? Give us some serotonin...!

The moment she walked through the door, her newborn in hand, there’s the sound of party poppers going off. The sound startles Kosuke, who nearly slips on the steps. “Congratulations” Her father, Daiki happily greets her. As the three head inside, there’s a strawberry shortcake in the center of the table, Inspector Saehara on one side as well as the normal Sekimoto-san and his wife who also greet her just as happily. This certainly was the cast of characters. “It’s great to see you again as well as finally get to meet Daisuke.” The inspector said with a grin. “He’ll probably fit right in with Takeshi and that Masahiro of yours, right Sekimoto?” He placed an arm over said man’s shoulder who laughed along. “Right, I’m sure they’ll be getting along quickly.” Though whose to say whether that may be true but overall, she’s grateful that they all came to congratulate her.

Can you write about mom!Risa receiving matching mini-teddy bear keychains from her twin boys, for Mothers Day? :>

“Mom, look what we got!” Tou called out, Maki trailing right behind him. Tou had always been much more expressive out of the two twins, taking after probably herself if she had to say. Maki on the other hand, tended to be less so and only passionate towards other matters, much like the man she’d married. In Tou’s hand seemed to be a set of matching fluffy animal key chains in the shape of a bear. The two bears' appearance reminded her of the two boys, one with a cheerful demeanor and the other not so. “Happy Mother’s Day! Do you like it?” Tou asked with a grin. “We thought that they would keep you company when you’re shopping and all while we’re at school.” Maki explained, a rare smile on his face for once. For a moment, there is only silence. The two feel a set of hands reach up, ruffling their hair. “Thank you.”

Takeshi's mom hears from him aaaall about Azumano's totally normal news events

“You know, Mom? Dad wasn’t able to catch Dark again. He slipped right through his fingers.” Takeshi spoke, watching as said woman listened.

“Has he been doing his share of the chores?” She asked, staring right at her son.

If Takeshi had to be honest…

“Well, you know it is. Always spending his time to make sure to catch Dark this time around.” He sighed, thinking back on when said man last did household chores of any sort.

“I’ll be sure to have a word with him.” His mother spoke, sounding quite displeased.

And even now it doesn’t seem as though the man had any time to spare for the two of them.

And yet…He showed that he cared in his own way.

Emiko as Riku's mother-in-law, thank you!

Riku tried to resist the urge to hurl.

Yet, she bent over the toilet anyway. Emiko rubbing her back.

“There, there. Let it all out.”

The soon to be expectant mother coughs before the other handed her a glass of water.

“…Thank you, Niwa-san.”

“No worries, I had the same reaction before Dai-chan was born. Dealing with morning sickness can be something after all.” She continued to rub her back.

“As you get further along, you’ll probably have mood swings as well as cravings.”

Which would probably make her stubborn side just as intense…

“But, you’re going great so far.”

Daisuke and Satoshi accidentally swap mothers for a day!

“So how’s mom doing?” Daisuke asked, looking at his fellow classmate and friend nervously.

“She seems to be fine.” Satoshi replied.

It wasn’t exactly far from the truth, Emiko was cautious around him, always smiling quite awkwardly.

“Oh your mom is fine too, by the way in case you were asking.” The red haired teen continued to laugh just as nervously.

Though she seemed to have little to no interest in talking to Daisuke.

Perhaps this was some usual Hikari clan thing or something.

As though reading his mind, Satoshi answers.

“It’s more or less that she’s not used to things that she’s not entirely sure about.”

If that’s so…He’d like to be able to get along with Hiwatari-kun’s mother.

What if Satoshi met his late grandmother?

He’d always have this thought in the corner of his mind. Just what kind of person was his late grandmother?Was she as much of an enigma like his late mother? The air around her felt different than that of his adoptive father and yet…There was a distinct loneliness like all Hikari descendants before her.

She seemed just as absorbed in a sketchbook, her pencil shaping a scenery outside the window.

The pencil dropped from her hand and rolled by his feet.

“…Here.” The teen held the drawing implement before, not a look of surprise on her face as she took it.

Perhaps just like all past Hikaris, she had the same obsession with breathing life into their works.

Yuu's life as a mom in the Niwa family, pleeease~

For much of her life, Yuu never thought that she’d become a mother. Though she supposed that anything could happen thanks to Taize. Even the child that she held before the two of them. Yuu had originally thought that she would be spending much of her time looking after her former employee. And yet here she was. ‘I wonder who our little one would take after…’ “I’m curious about that too, Yuu.” Taize nodded, a grin on his face. “I kind of hope he takes after his mother.” ‘Why not after yourself?’ “Good question…Someone like you is more responsible after all.” But no matter who this child took after, his happiness was what she wished for.

(Does Towa count as a mother, honest question. I guess she's more like a sibling to Daisuke. She's the eldest daughter that Emiko makes do all the work lmao okay actual ideas. ) Maybe something with the Haradas' mother? They definitely had a weird slash rough relationship with them being separated, it could be fun to muse about. Cheers

She’d always worry about them. Especially wondering whether both Riku and Risa were eating well and taking care of themselves.

The woman would often send scenic postcards to the two, telling them about her travels and whereabouts.

The twins would always reply back about their school life.

Sitting at the desk, she lays her head on top, wondering what to write about.

This week’s postcard was off to the side with a pen.

“Sometimes I wonder if I should have been there for the two of you more…”

Yet, here she was away from the two.

“I hope the two of you will come to understand some day…”

Rio and the fact she'll never see her son grow up ;;

Many thoughts came to her mind as she eyed the infant before her.

Indeed, this was her greatest work. One born of the ‘union’ between Rio and Elm Root.

The child lay there, asleep in the artist’s arms, unaware of the hardships that it would go through as a result.

It’s really a shame she won’t be there to support him…There’s a sense of emptiness in that.

And yet that look in the artwork’s eyes that lay in its eyes. The only other one that she could trust her child with.

Her head turned to face the other ‘occupant’ in the room.

“There’s something I must request of you…”

Emiko and the mom she never knew

From the very moment this child was born, the woman knew that she would be quite a character.

Right now, her daughter lay there, breathing evenly as well as sleeping comfortably in a crib.

Yet, this was a sign that this new generation would not have Dark appear.

Daiki didn’t seem to have anything against this so far.

But watching their baby…

“Emiko…Once you come of age, I hope you never come to regret the fact that you were born a girl.”

She slowly pulled the blanket up to tuck the child in.

“But never forget more than anything, your father and I love you.”
