people complaining soo extensively about the use of 'dad' in the odyssey trailer. i have seen several people saying why couldnt they use 'father'? hey quick question, if the majority of people do not refer to their dad exclusively as 'father' in their respective languages, and those languages *having* several informal words for father, what makes you think that the ancient greeks did not have and use such words??? this is the most obvious form of naturalism (or an attempt at naturalism) that i have seen and yet it has gone over the head of so many people
