Vegetarians and vegans eat out too!

Finding places that offer vegetarian and vegan options in New Jersey, or the surrounding states. Also finding places that cater to meat eaters and veggies alike. I want to post up places that I have been to in the past as well as the present.

Teppanyaki grill & supreme buffet

275 State route 18 East Brunswick, NJ

Buffet? yup. Typically buffets have limited food options for vegetarians. Teppanyaki has a hibachi grill that's included with the price. Depending on how comfortable you are with a grill that has had meat on it this may not be for you. They do cook meat on that grill but you can always ask the person to clean the grill off and spatulas before they start cooking your food. You can also request that they don't cook any other meals at the time yours is being cooked.

They have a good amount of vegetables to pick from. Peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, etc. they also have eggs which is what I got on my dish. I also got teriyaki sauce and minced garlic with my dish.

Menlo Park Mall

This mall surprisingly has many vegetarian and vegan options. They have typical places like Panera, chipotle, jamba juice, pizza etc. But they do have 2 places that have a wide assortment of veggie options. One place is Poorrani Indian Vegetarian. I'll admit I haven't had their food yet but they seem to have some yummy meals. Then there's Just Falafel. I got a build your own bowl with their vegan chick'n tenders with the spicy indian sauce. They have a good assortment of veggies and they have 3 kinds of hummus, and of course falafel. My meal was very tasty and filling! If you go to this mall try to stop by these places and get some food.

Crust & Crumble Asbury Park, NJ

This is a place that I'm new to but I absolutely love it! When you walk in, they have a display of many bakery items (some of which are vegan). They have many 2 person tables and in the back there are bigger tables. They have a decent sized menu with lots of delicious options. When you get their menu just flip it over to the back and there's all the vegan options! They have a good assortment of sandwiches and pizza. I've only tried the sandwiches so far and they are amazing and filling. The portions are pretty big. I usually get a half sandwich and end up bringing the other half of that sandwich home.

Recently when I was there I ordered the Vegan Cheesesteak Sandwich.  It was amazing and filled me up! I also asked for hot sauce which went very well with it.
