Gabriella was already running late to her doctor’s appointment so when she came outside and saw the large yellow monstrosity on her car windshield she groan in frustration. She had parking tickets build up from working in the city and not wanting to wait for a spot, but she didn’t have the money to pay for them because of all the rest of her bills. In addition, now that she had a regular checkup at the doctors and they insisted she do a follow up based on some test results, she barely had money for a follow up doctor’s appointment. Gabriella climbed on top of her car and started pull on the yellow plate but it wasn’t going anywhere. “Urgghhh!” She groaned as she smacked the plate. “I don’t have time for this!”
Noah couldn’t help but chuckled at the woman crawling over her car and yelling. He pushed down the bridge of his nose to get a better look. He shook his head, looks like someone didn’t pay their tickets. He glanced down at his extra helmet, hanging off the bike.
“Hey uh, looks like you might need a ride?”

Weekend Smoke Buddies

With her son at his fathers and a newly single relationship status, Claire felt as if she deserved a little something for herself. It had been years since she smoked last and she wasn’t sure she’d ever do it again but recent events in her life made her think differently. Hearing about Noah from a friend, Claire immediately jumped on the chance to get in on what he had, thankfully, he agreed. She pulled the door open with a smile on her face. “Hey there.” She said almost immediately, letting him in. She could already smell the weed in him and it made her much more excited.
He flashed her one of his famous crooked smiles. He didn’t really know Claire that well, or why she had invited him to smoke weed when they weren’t that great of friends, but Noah believed in getting to know everyone if you get the chance. About 1/4 of the time, it’s a belief that got him laid. So, he hopped on his bike over.
He reached in from his inner pocket of his leather jacket, and pulled out a small jar. “Hey, babe. Wanna do illegal stuff?”
Weekend Smoke Buddies
Noah flipped the kickstand to his motorcycle up, the blaring music dying with the engine. He tugged off his helmet, running his hands through his hair. He hadn’t bothered to gel it today, leaving it a green mess flopped to one side.
He slung his backpack over his shoulder, handling with care. He didn’t know Claire super well, but what he did know was that she was in desperate need of some THC TLC. He’d been buying from a new guy, some hopefully what he had was okay. Either way, his week had been long, and he probably needed to unwind just as much as she did.
He knocked on her door, attempting to look nonchalant and collected-something he never really was.

“Yeah dude, it’s perfect.It’s like you’re in mind or something.” He looked over the drawing one more time before sending a picture of it to Anita. “And we can do it today? I know I don’t have an appointment.”
“Thanks! I’m glad you like it, it’s kinda permanent and all.” He let the client snap a pic, before taking the drawing back. “Yeah, man! I had a cancellation today, so you kinda got the luck of the draw.”

Joaquin looked it over, holding the drawing over the blank space on his forearm. “I think it’s perfect, papo, really, really, you totally got my vision.” He smiled as he looked up at Noah. “How long do you think it’ll take?”
He swelled with pride, he always loved it when a client loves the work. He took back his drawing. “Depends, are we looking to do color or black and grey?”

“Oh, man. Well you’re in for a treat if you didn’t already know. Ribs tattoos feel like you’re being kissed by butterflies. Most people usually beg me to keep going, even after the tattoo’s done.”

“Nope. Nope,” Tripp shook his head. “I’m drink, but I’m not drunk enough for this.”
He scrunched his nose. “Well shit, didn’t you sign the paperwork before you came back to my station? Who do I gotta fire around here to get things run right, huh?”

Lysander turned and sighed. “Not far. I guess. I dunno.” He shrugged, his attitude defeated.
He raised his eyebrows. “Is is so far that you might not make it?” He held up his helmet? “Ever ride a Harley?”

“Shit man, that’s…that’s a lot, that must have been tough but really that means a lot to me. I feel like a whole new man which kind of scares me because I’ve been sheltered from the temptations for two weeks but guess that’s what recovery is all about. Uh I’m gonna spend it with my family and my best friend, we’re gonna have some sober fun,” he replied with a soft laugh. “I was actually thinking of coming in for a tattoo soon. Could I make an appointment with you soon?”
“Hey, everyone has to start somewhere. Get their footing. Soon you won’t have a barrier for temptation, but that’s a good way to get started. But hey! That sounds like fun. Just spend some quality time with the fam, and relax.” He grinned. “Hey man, I’d love to tattoo you. I actually have a permanent discount for recovering discounts. Bring in a sobriety coin, and get 25%. I’ve stood by that discount for my entire career, and now that I’ve got my own shop, I make all the artists do it.” He pulled his wallet out from his jeans, pulling out a business card. “Call my shop any time, tell ‘em Noah told you about the sobriety discount, and they’ll give you a priority appointment.”

You misunderstand me, I’m saying that everyone else dyes their hair, and I dye mine green. But y’know, at the end of the day, maybe I am like everyone else. Maybe I am a cliche, but I’ve made a nice life for myself, and I’m happy.

Jesse smiled wide as Noah spoke and nodded. “Thanks man, that means a lot. It’s..it’s been a crazy few weeks but such is life I guess. Yeah, thanks, one thing I’ve always loved is birthdays so it’s hard to be in anything but a good one when it’s mine.”
Noah smiled back, feeling a bittersweet pride for the man. “I’m serious, that’s fucking cool, my friend. My uh, sister died from addiction, so seeing people get out of it is always really great. What’re you gonna do to celebrate your birthday?”

“Walking.” He grunted, not even turning back to see the stranger. His gaze focused on the sidewalk, what little focus he had. He stumbled sideways, falling against a building and grunting as he tried to center himself.
He scrambled after the man, trying to help him stand up straight. “Listen bud, how far of a walk is it? Because maybe I can escort you or somethin’? I know you’re a big guy, but even giants shouldn’t be alone when they’re drunk.”
