I know im not the only one who has had someone compare their story worlds to other worlds

Wat I mean is, someone compares the one you made/described to them to another already existing one

I currently have an ongoing comic on my Instagram and I usually explain my story or future points of my story to my close friends and such

A world that is in my story is very similar to hell but it was created by a person to shelter themselves from the "upper world" time and one of my close friends said its basically the netyer from minecraft

Do I give a shit?? No, obviously I dont.

It makes me angry to basically be told to my face that I took an already existing idea and made it mine which clearly isnt the case

Same goes for character design

One of my more complex characters is basically nude 24/7 becuz he has an innocent mind so he doesnt rlly care about his body or others even tho they cover up and he doesnt

The same friend asked if anyone else around him, or anyone else that he talks to, is naked when I had already mentioned before that they cover up

I got a comment on my last blog about Ena ocs

And I wanted to discuss it

(I'm not mad, I just wanna clear anything that might feel like I just like hating on ppl/ocs)

Firstly,

I have thing against things that feel "out of order". I like things orderly, perfect, simple and straightforward(even if it diesnt always come out that way).

I've seen Ena ocs that have abilities, relationships, interactions, ect, that "change the story" in a way that doesnt seem right to me. Mostly becuz the story belongs to Joel G.

(I'm not hating on creativity, dint come at me😭)

I feel ok with ocs that "change the story" with shows/movies that are completed or that I dont have much interest in. Like My Hero Academia.

Second,

The character designs. Some Ena ocs I've seen are too similar to Ena herself and it made me feel put off. I'm not saying I've seen ALL Ena ocs and can say that for them, but it's just the few 100 that I've seen.

As an artist wit an original characters, I've seen my fair share of similar ocs to other artists' ocs or mine. In artists, I guess I've always expected the unexpected when it came to creativity and seeing the Ena ocs look super close to Ena makes me feel defeated and cheated. Of course I know that I cant expect much from ppl I dont talk to, ppl that dont know I exist, ect.

I love artists whole heartedly and I do accept them but Ena ocs were the first ocs that I've seen that look too similar to the main character and I just felt, well, out of place.

I'm sorry but I just gotta say this

I never rlly understood ENA ocs, like, AT ALL

I watched all the episodes and not a single time have I heard Joel G., or any character for that matter, say/hint that Ena was a race or species or anything along those lines

I've seen tons of Ena ocs that is basically Ena herself, but with a different color palette and new powers.

Like wat??? And others make it where Ena is absolutely terrified of them and cant do anything??? This isnt your show, this is your passion project, this isnt your universe where you can make a character that looks exactly/near exactly wat the TITULAR CHARACTER LOOKS LIKE

I try not to express my opinions on stuff like this but its seriously eating at me and it's almost annoying

I'm also not targeting my hate on those artists rlly

I'm just confused and would like to know WHY you made an Ena oc the way u did

Why did they have to be part blocky/cgi-ish like Ena? Why did they have to have half and half faces and multiple personalities like Ena? Why did they have to overpower Ena on HER OWN WORLD? Why do they have major roles in HER STORY?

This opinion of mine goes the same way with all fandoms/shows tbh

(Unless its shows/characters that I dont rlly care about, or books)
