When we read the end of Bleach
I'm absolutely disappointed with Bleach's ending. For all the reasons that have been appointed by many, many fans, even the ones that ship Ichihime (who are obviously happy): this rush to end a 15 year old manga, that left no time to close the story of so many characters; the way Kubo decided to go against the moral principles that guided Chad's life, for instance, but also the way Ishida was presented to us in the last chapter; and I'm not even mentioning that final fight with Yhwach....... And I have to say, of course, that I'm not happy with the romantic choices made by Kubo. It always seemed to me that Ichigo and Rukia were a perfect pairing. Their relationship was the most developed along the manga - I mean, the story begins and exists because of them! Though I'm not totally surprised with this ending... I guess I saw this coming. Either way, I'll just finish with this well known poem among Bleach fans:
I wonder, can I keep up with it? The speed of the world without you in it?

Rust: I tell you, Marty, I been up in that room looking out those windows every night here just thinking: it's just one story. The oldest.
Marty: What's that?
Rust: Light versus dark.
Marty: Well, I know we ain't in Alaska, but it appears to me that the dark has a lot more territory.
Rust: Yeah, you're right about that.
...
Rust: You're looking at it wrong, the sky thing.
Marty: How's that?
Rust: Well, once there was only dark.
Rust: You ask me, the light's winning.
Remnants of the British Black Panther’s Lost Legacy
Britain’s black power movement is at risk of being forgotten, say historians
The Cambridge academic Robin Bunce said: “There is a fundamental danger of erasing the very notion of a struggle at all. I’ve been researching this for four and a half years and there have been so many occasions when people have said to me: ‘There was no black struggle in Britain. You’re thinking of South Africa or America.’“
The narrative that feeds it is the one that Britain is the utopia of fair play. We have such a commitment to individual rights, we have such a commitment to common sense and decency that there is no systematic racism in Britain.”…
Bunce said it was not just politicians, but wider British society that would rather not dwell on the less palatable.
this is why I roll my eyes whenever white british people chime into race discussions that involve america acting like they’re shocked and repulsed at the racism in our country and even have the nerve to say “racism doesn’t really exist in the uk” like ??? did y'all forget where our problems came from or

“You see us as you want to see us… in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. You see us as a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, and a criminal. Correct? That’s how we saw each other at seven o'clock this morning. We were brainwashed.”
