﹒ dami & adrian ( @wrldbrns )

the family friendly day had begun to shift as the sun inched its way across the sky , and once it had tipped over the horizon , the night had become something else. the bass had begun to reverberate within his chest , the lights flashing from red to green to various hues across his features. and the alcohol mingled sweetly with the rest of what he'd pushed into his bloodstream.
there was little possibility of anything ruining his evening.
it had been his initial thought , before his eyes had cracked open to observe the bodies around him , only for his gaze to land on one such individual. the kind that was something of a ghost , a long gone memory , a reminder of a life that hadn't been his own. or rather , couldn't have been his own. not when he'd spent so many months carefully crafting ways to tear it apart. brick by brick , as if the foundation of rome was nothing more than a pipe dream.
the daddy shirt clung to him , partially due to the heat , partially to the inability for him to stop moving now that he'd gotten his fix. and perhaps that is what he could blame it on , as he eased his way through the crowd , of the bodies that had only ever been just that to him. glazed over blue eyes kept their attention fixated on him , until nothing more than a few feet stood between them.
❝ you still have my favorite sweatshirt , ❞ he stated matter of fact , as if he were discussing some miniscule material , and not the very sweatshirt that he'd actually stolen from adrian and dubbed his own.
if it hadn't been for the alcohol and substances , dami may have caught the other's eye , and continued on his pursuit of losing himself in all that was around him. as it were , there he stood , lips curled into a lopsided grin.
