I dont want to bore everyone with an entire essay disecting my feelings, so let's just say that it wasn't easy to go from loving my Sundays alter serving in church and the community it gave me, to then feeling unwelcome and unwanted by that very group who once offered me a safe space.

Adult me is happier than happy can be and I am deeply proud of who I am, in particular, the loving wife I have become. But if I'd had the fortune of hearing this song in my early teens, I think I'd have got to that place a lot sooner.
