Noelle Whitfield was born Noelle Ford. Before her younger sister Imogen was born Brooke had another baby girl. When she found out that she was pregnant at such a young age, she begged her parents to go and visit their family in Aberdeen. They agreed, hoping the time away would help calm her wild side. Little did they know that she was just using that as an excuse to go and have a baby. After she was born, Brooke gave her up for adoption and returned to Baberton like nothing had happened. Not even a couple days in foster care, Noelle was adopted out to the wealthy Whitfield family. She grew up like a normal child, full of life and laughter. She never once felt different from her siblings and he had no reason to think that she was any different from them. She did very well in the private school she attended and always aspired to be a police officer one day, which both worried her parents and made them proud.
When she turned sixteen, her parents told her that she was adopted and gave her a letter from her birth mother. At first she was angry with her parents for keeping something like this from her, but she came to understand why with time, and forgave them. After reading the letter (which she was surprised was written at all) she became curious about who her birth mother was. Since all she signed was âB xâ at the end of the letter, it didnât give Noelle much to go on. But she did the best she could with the resources that she had. When nothing that she did came up, it got quite frustrating, and she decided to hire a private detective. Her parents allowed this and lent her the money to do so, thinking it was important for her if itâs what she wanted. After that, she decided to focus on her studies. Graduating and then going on to college. College was fun and she partied a little but then she made the decision to follow her lifelong dream and get into law enforcement. Once she left college, the private detective contacted her and she had everything she possibly could on her birth mother. Brooke Ford.
Noelle moved back home after college. She got a job on the police force after attending the academy, where she did very well. Noelle has always worked well with others and gets along with just about everyone. She easily managed to settle in with her colleagues and was mature and dedicated, putting her wild child side away in a box when she was on duty. During her last case in East Sussex, she wound up going undercover into a drug den. She had never once touched drugs in her whole life, despite being a bit of a partier, but she did when she had to go in there. She did it to keep the suspicion off her. Her boss had no idea that Noelle had tried the drugs while going undercover and she kept it that way because there was nothing to worry about⊠right?
Eventually, her chief gave her the choice of being reassigned to a place called Baberton, as the little town needed volunteers to help with their serial killer problem. Noelle jumped on that chance because she knew by now that that was where her birth mother lived and she wanted a chance to get to know her and the rest of her family there. Maybe even figure out who her birth father is and⊠maybe even ask why they didnât keep her. Noelle isnât that bitter about it because she loves the family she grew up in, but she is very curious about where she really comes from and the life she could have lived had she not been adopted by the Whitfield family. The pieces of her that are a little missing. It was a no-brainer for Noelle to pack up and head to Baberton, though finding her feet in the station here had been tougher than she thought it would be. She doesnât feel she quite fits in but maybe here she can find a clue that helps her finally make detective.
Brooke was murdered before Noelle could even get close enough to ask any questions or reveal who she was. Tracked down and killed by a guy she knew from her days in the hospital and Noelle recently hunted down and caught this man with another couple officers, after he fled town. Noelle is furious and unhappy that she didnât get to know her mother and has decided to stick around town, despite Jamie Kirk being behind bars right now for being the next serial killer whoâd taunted Baberton. She wants to find out as much as she can about Brooke by asking questions of the people around here who knew her. She also wants to protect and look out for her younger sister Imogen, and her baby brother Daniel. Imogen has been through so much and sheâs worried sheâs going to lose her too. Sheâs too scared to come out to Imogen about who she really is right now as she doesnât want to overwhelm her and send back back in her recovery, but sheâs been gathering all the information she can about everything and everyone sheâs related to⊠and itâs becoming a bit of an obsession.
She believes that Imogenâs father, Mitchell Ryder, is her father due to the similarities between Imogen and himself. Little does she know that her father is actually Jimmy Sanders, someone else that Brooke was sleeping with at the same time as Mitch all those years ago.
Her interrogation methods can sometimes become a bit rough and questionable at times, mainly due to some anger issues the girl has developed over time for a few reasons. During one past interrogation, she actually broke a guyâs nose by shoving his face into the table, and was placed on suspension for a couple of weeks.
Noelle actually got addicted to the drugs she was on while doing her undercover job. Itâs a bit of a relief to be further away from her boss because she thought he was starting to get a bit suspicious. She hasnât used in a long time and believes sheâs clean but you never know.
Killed Cameron Brady after he broke out of prison and went after her mother Brooke. Cameron had already taken Brooke away once before and she wasnât about to let him finish the job. Brooke got rid of the body and Noelle had some trouble adjusting to what sheâd done, though she didnât care that the man was dead.
