“So, in Wasteland 3, there’s a perk at Barter 7 that gives all the scrap you pick up, which is good only for selling, a chance for selling waaaay higher. How much higher am I talking? It varies. But I’ve seen it go up as high as $4200. Why is this a problem?”

“Well! It’s because you can also buy back the scrap...at the initial value it would have sold for. So, waaaay cheaper than $4200. And you can sell it again and trigger the perk yet again. So, basically. Once you get that perk you have infinite money. Funny how unintended side effects like that can happen.”
