i feel like a lot of people are under the impression that if kristina hadn’t manipulated wilhelm, he would’ve come out and admited it was him in the video. that was never the plan.

wilhelm’s plan was to convince his mom to not have to make a statement at all. never had he thought or even discussed coming out with simon. and that’s not at all what simon even excepted or wanted him to do either.

wilhelm was never gonna come out (and didn’t have to). all they wanted to do, is stay in their own private bubble :( they were never “hidden”, they still hung out as friends because they weren’t “hiding” that they knew each other.

it’s when wilhelm suggested to NOT BE SEEN together that simon had to end it, bc (again) they were never “hidden” before.

Yeah I totally agree with that perspective. Wilhelm wanted to live his own life and just wanted the media to stay out of it. He has still barely come to terms with who he is and his sexuality. Simon is probably his first love and relationship and they still don’t know each other that well. He just wanted to be with Simon. Get to know him in their own pace.

The problem didn’t occur before Wilhelm was forced out. Simon didn’t in no way push Wilhelm to make them more public before (like pushing for pda). They were doing well. Baby steps. Staying lowkey in the beginning of a relationship is pretty normal for everyone their age - gay or straight. Simon didn’t feel like a secret or something to be ashamed of, before Wilhelm straight up denied them.

I am still so salty about Power Rangers 2017.

People weep and moan for well written representation in film and I’m like “Power Rangers 2017 gave you a team with only one white member, a questioning queer girl, and an autistic hero that doesn’t have ‘magical autism’. He was just autistic and was just like, “Oh, I am autistic, so I’m not going to pick up on your sarcasm.”

They didn’t make autism into a superpower or some life ending tragedy, they had a character with autism who had that inform his character. Billy wasn’t ashamed of this. He was bullied and bad at social cues but the only shame he ever felt was guilt over his reaction to his dad’s death which makes perfect fucking sense.

Trini was in a questioning, confused state and her sexuality is just there and causing her some difficulty. Not because she might be gay, but because she is not sure and doesn’t know how to express this to her family.

Zack was the ultimate subversion of the model minority bullshit people assign to Asians and Asian characters. He was a tactless thrill junkie processing his own hardships.

Kimberly had a nuanced narrative regarding bullying. She was a VERY grey character who legitimately did something awful.

And Jason’s story is basically the ultimate disection of toxic masculinity.

Saban was even hinting that Tommy was going to be a girl in the planned sequel. WE MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN A FEMALE URBAN NATIVE GREEN RANGER. ANYONE who knows Power Rangers can tell you how huge that would be. Tommy was the fan favorite and one of the most interesting characters. Yeah, we might have gotten a superhero film with a female Urban Native lead.

And y'all just dismissed this movie and made Krispy Kreme jokes. Newsflash: the movie was making Krispy Kreme jokes that were better than your Krispy Kreme jokes. If you honestly think “Krispy Kreme… it is a magical place” was supposed to be taken seriously, you are lame and boring and probably like Air Supply.

And gaaaah! Do you know how bad this movie SHOULD have been? Take this from a girl who draped her room in Pink Ranger shit for two years: Power Rangers is pretty fucking dumb. I love it, but nuance, pathos, and realism WERE NEVER CARDS IN THIS FRANCHISE’S DECK. Then this fucking movie, which I went into expecting a lazy, stupid, nostalgia bait had like… real characters, and conflict, and a script written on empathy. People actually worked their ass off to not only make a good movie, but one that was genuinely diverse and respectful and EMPATHETIC.

The movie bombed and y'all wrote it off despite it being one of the most diverse, heartfelt, and nonstereotypical films in recent memory.

Now I’ll never get to watch Trini and LADY!Tommy flip back their helmets to make out with “Go Go Lesbo Rangers” playing in the background. I hope you’re happy with yourselves.

i’m posting this here because FUCK i’m desperate.

this is. extremely shitty. i got robbed today. like an hour or so as i write this i was in the bus station with my mom, waiting for the bus, we were talking it was almost 10 pm as i write this we were at the corner of the block and two guys, both looked on their 20’s, attacked us one of them hit my mom in the back of her head and the other grabbed me by behind and put his arm over my neck they started yelling to us to give them everything and my mom was yelling back at them that she had nothing i managed to get free from the guy’s arm and he grabbed my bag, and started pulling from it, and i was pulling back because i had my fucking shit in there. my mom saw me struggling and yelled me to give it to him, and i did they didn’t have weapons but they’d probably beat both of us (specially me, i’m physically fragile) if i didn’t give them my bag they ran back to a car parked like 10 meters away, got in it, and went away at full speed my mom went for help in the bus station, crying, and a car passed by with a guy who asked us what happened my mom begged him to chase the guys but obviously he didn’t do anything my mom collapsed and was about to pass out and i helped her out get up, she was apologizing to me because she couldn’t protect me we already called the police and they said they’d give us our things back if they find them which i know, and probably most of you will know as well, it’s not going to happen. between the most valuable things i had in my bags were my ids (personal and medical), my phone, my college papers, my nintendo 3ds, and some other things like a usb cable, my bus card, and others, i’ll keep listing as i recall them i’m. in a really shitty situation right now. and i hate to do this. but doing formalities to regain my ids cost money, and i don’t want my mother or my girlfriend to pay for a new phone. the rest of the things i’ll see if i can buy them again. my point is. if you have some spare money and wish to help me, please send it to www.paypal.me/lauraip or my coffee ko-fi.com/A0473T0W i also do commissions, if you’d rather have me draw you something too saurit-commissions.weebly.com any help is appreciated, if any of you could reblog this, i’d be immensely thankful too i’m so sorry, i hate to do this. but i feel so fucking shitty right now. this fucking sucks. if you want proof or anything for this i can. i don’t know. find a way or something. to show this happened. i’m sorry about the typos too, i’m typing this very fast right now. i’ll update this journal and make it more readable later thank you for reading

it’s called a sutrah, and it’s meant to act as a physical barrier between the person praying and someone who might happen to pass in front.

Help for sick cat

I hate to do this but I’m stuck in a bad situation. My cat was recently diagnosed with diabeties and it has been one expense after another. So far it has cost $461 in vet appointments to diagnose and treat him as well as $126 for insulin and another $100 for food. He just had another sick appointment because he’s developed diabetic neuropathy and is starting to not be able to walk. Monday I’m supposed to set up an all day appointment to do a curve to check his insulin and glucose levels. I have no idea how to pay for it.

I know that a cat is probably not high priority when there are people that need money more but I love this baby more than life itself so I have to ask for any kind of help. I don’t have any health insurance myself and haven’t had my medications in over a year and I am also facing $4,000 in college debt so far. My car is broken and I can’t afford to fix it to go to college but I care more about my cat than my car. I take care of my mother full time and my cat is the only good thing and only friend I feel I have sometimes.

If there is anybody that could donate anything I would be much obliged. I can return the generosity by helping with any accounting or math homework you may have. I’m also a fairly decent editor so I could look over work if you want.
