No More Zero Comments - Smut Edition

Welcome to No More Zero Comments - ME rated, run by @blakartoffel-fanfic and inspired by the great @nomorezerocomments and the still hot of the press @safics-with-0-comments. Where nomorezerocomments tries to reduce the number of fics with zero comments in general & safics-with-0-comments focuses on F/F fics, we will focus on those yummy smut fics in particular. (Or anything M & E rated in general)

Why? Because I've learned that —on average— people are way less likely to comment on M & E rated fics, which is probably for a variety of reasons, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve love and attention too.

Hiya! Thinking about making one for trans/gnc fics. thoughts/advice?

That would be such a cool idea and you should totally go for it if you want! Honestly, it's been a LOT of work doing this spreadsheet and dealing with constant submissions and checking for comments and all that stuff. It's a lot of technical, tedious work, but I personally really like stuff like that so this project has been a lot of fun for me! It can easily be overwhelming, so my main advice would be to pace yourself. You will get lots of submissions and you may not always get through all of them by the end of the day and that's okay. You don't have to be perfect or always on top of everything, this is just meant to be a fun project to encourage people to comment

Also, the NM0C community (and fellow blogs!!!) have been so supportive. I've made a few mistakes despite being active for...three days? But I've always had a place to look for help!

Final thing would be: you can and should rip off other spreadsheets/forms/etc. I looked at the NM0C spreadsheet and didn't even know how to make the tables, so I copied from one of them (so sorry merated 😭😭😭), and I took HEAVY inspiration from them for my forms and even the intro post and it really helped!

No More Zero Comments - Shortfic Edition!

Aaaaaand it's my turn to make a NM0C blog! I've noticed lots of shorter fics tend to get less attention in general, so here's a blog inspired by @nomorezerocomments and the plenty of other blogs that are also working to decrease the amount of fics without comments on AO3! This blog is dedicated to shortfics, which will be defined as fics with a total word count of under 1000 words.

Just a heads up: I am employed and don't always have a bunch of time on my hands! Updates may be a bit slow but I will get to everything eventually!

You know how it goes: submit shortfics without comments, visit the spreadsheet to find ones to comment on, and fill out a form telling me what fics you've commented on when you do so! (Yes my own fics are on here because I had to start with something >< add yours too!)

Okay soooooooooo, the completion form is empty, there's still 140 submissions, but it should all be Polish ones. Which I will get through over time.

I have two fics with comments but I'm sure the comment on both is a troll and I was gonna just delete the comments and submit the fics anyway but that feels like lying so hi here I am asking permission like a chump

Honestly go right ahead, next to the fact I can't see if there were deleted comments, I myself have deleted some spam before submitting fics. :3

Hey, just wanted to give a quick heads up that since my life has started up as normal again after vacation I have significantly less time to post.

So while I still try and at least work on submissions weekly, I don't always remember to post.

Thanks for running this blog! Just seeing people working hard to appreciate writers gave me the extra boost of motivation I needed to finish one of my old WIPs. 🥰

Not a problem. :3 I'm also a writer myself and comments are just an amazing motivator.

Also I've been trying to get back into working on the sheet so I'll hopefully have the sheets empty again soon.
