what if you told your psychiatrist you KISSED a woman and he puts you in JAIL and starts SLEEPING with her and then you SLEEP with a woman and your psychiatrist has her brother SURGICALLY REMOVE her UTERUS to implant it and your UNBORN CHILD into a PIG and then you MARRY a woman and your psychiatrist instructs a SERIAL KILLER to MURDER her and your stepson so you BREAK your psychiatrist OUT OF JAIL and RUN AWAY with him because your name is WILL GRAHAM and you're GAY
Its not even that they didnt kiss in the finale, its that the time they did kiss it was a rushed last ditch effort, it was rough, and it was unreciprocated.
I didnt want them to make out sloppy style I just wanted aziraphale to pull Crowley in for just a soft, short kiss before they went back to god
They never got to have that tender, mutual, loving kiss and im mad about it because they got to have the desperate rushed one
And yes they got married, but thats Anthony and aza, i needed aziraphale and Crowley to share that moment before they FUCKING DIED
For a moment I thought they were going to spend eternity together in the cosmic bookshop writing the whole universe back in existence in the blank books...
I want to feel happy, but I can't. Not when their only kiss was a last resort. Not when they only held hands out of necessity and then once at the very end of their lives. Not when it feels like in the end, God still won and they lost.
I'm happy they live on in another universe, but my heart breaks for the angel and demon who sacrificed everything, everything, for the sake of the greater good.
you know what I've realised?
if terry were here the ending wouldn't have felt so disappointing. because he would've built up the world and the importance of humanity up in a way that would've deserved aziracrow's sacrifice. he would've NEVER let aziraphale or crowley become the main characters so fundamental to the story that humanity took a backseat, because remember, in the book they were never the main characters. it would've been satisfying to see it end, more worth it. instead we got derailed to a fanservice romance between an angel and a demon and spent so much time on their relationship while letting the human core of it become a setting for their romance.
which is fine but you can't do that and try to steer back to the original idea behind the ending as if you haven't neglected the worldbuilding and the development of humanity in general. why should I care about jesus and him reconnecting with humans? why should I care about the human philosophy? why spend 90% of your story on the romance which terry would have never let become so integral to the plot only to disregard it for the humanity you never explored to begin with?
its painfully obvious that neil gaiman ran away with his own ideas. season 1 is a perfect reflection of terry's influence with how big the characters of adam and his friends, anathema, tracy, everyone was ALONG with the world in general. yes we had aziracrow and their relationship was up to interpretation and ultimately did not matter to the story at all. fuck you neil gaiman for ruining terrys story. fuck you in general but fuck you fuck you fuck you.
homophobic gay media isnt dead ♥ so glad we're still repping the classics even in 2026
you're genuinely trying to fucking tell me that crowley, who repeatedly begged aziraphale over and over and over to run away with him so they could be safe, and each time when aziraphale turned him down just chose to stay and die on earth instead (because there's no point to anything if aziraphale is gone), crowley who completely broke down when aziraphale was discorporated even though it was only his physical body, crowley who spent thousands of years showing up to save aziraphale in the strange little 5d chess of damsel and knight they'd been playing, would be alright with damning aziraphale to nonexistence. himself is one thing but you're fucking telling me that when offered a choice between the continuation of an imperfect world, or killing every single person in the universe, including aziraphale, he'd choose the latter? are you actually fucking serious?
bury your gays and replace them with emotionally unsatisfying lobotomised but still gay replicas
Am I the only one that felt like the end scene of aziraphale and Crowley was like way too fanfictiony?
Just Crowley being a professor with an interest in astrophysics and aziraphale being a kinda socially awkward bookshop owner (even though they STILL had him working under the metatron 🙄) feels like the summary of every human au and like a very overly predictable and lazy way to end it. I feel like the "we'll find each other in every universe" trope could have been done in a better and more interesting way
Show flashes of them through the ages, mirroring the arrangement over the 6000 years, or even if we want to just constrain it to the one scene in one era could we not have done something a little more interesting and less predictable?
Im also mad they didnt kiss
...I see you...
