how shocked do you think little tails was the first time he got captured by robotnik and sonic actually came to rescue him. like “woah he didn’t leave me to die :0”
Not only just 'came to rescue him', but came in looking like a demon out of hell itself, so angry, so focused, so utterly dedicated to getting to Tails immediately and getting the kid out of there.
Any other time, destroying Eggman's bots is fun to Sonic, saving the little animals trapped inside being The Right Thing To Do.
But with a kidnapped Tails?
Oh, this time it's personal. Very, very personal.
And Eggman had never seen the hedgehog move with such motivation. Such drive. He tears through the bots faster than ever before, because this time Eggman's taken something he really, really shouldn't have. There are no taunting gestures, no fun little bouncing off the bots' heads.
No, this time Sonic rips through anything in his path, and makes a beeline straight for Eggman himself.
And it's terrifying.
It's like that one part of Despicable Me where Gru goes to rescue his girls, he dodges missles, and even punches a SHARK without missing a beat in his step.
With Sonic, he cuts through all of the robots and brushes the debris off his shoulder with a murderous frown, points at Eggman with only this in mind:
