I’ve been pretty terrible at updating this thing the last while, part of our college modules this year has been for us to keep a consistent college blog of our progress and in keeping that up to date I’ve been neglecting poor ol’ Tumblr. That’s probably not gonna change anytime in the near future.. at least not until college wraps up in May. But just to keep this place looking lived in I figured I’d try get back to at least a post a week. Firstly with some news! Beer Buzz has been selected as one of the student shorts to be screened down in Animation Dingle this year! Now the question is, would I have approached this strange little paper cut out animation differently had I been aware it was going to be screened for people with standards and opinions? Probably not, but I’m certainly curious to see if it gets a good reaction. I’ve been lucky enough to see one or two of the other student shorts being screened this year (The Journey to the Black Star, is a magical piece of work from a magical group of people and Little Flower by Brigette Heffernan is another really beautiful one) and I’m seriously proud to be in there with them. If any of you are down at the festival this year, come say hello! Even if just to reassure me that I’m not just typing all of this into a empty meme filled void...

A finished traditional animation from this term. It’s looking like it’ll be the only bit of Traditional we’ll be doing this year, should hopefully have some more digital stuff to show off over the Christmas.

...and so a Ritual was born. If the townsfolk fed Rootwood Mary a live Rabbit every 6 hours she was much less likely to take their children. It wasn't perfect.. but it was something.
