His thoughts whirled out of control, a hurricane of emotions and half-thoughts that threatened to paralyze him. Courses of action were planned and discarded–addled, perhaps, by the foreign stirring in his guts. He couldn’t focus.

This type of scam works by claiming to have something desirable, being willing to send it for free...as long as you're willing to pay shipping costs. However, the 'generous' individual will not send the item after collecting the 'shipping fee.' They may even extort more money by asking for sensitive payment information. Don't fall for scams.
