Another HC: The Crows are so tight knitted that sometimes they’ll copy each other subconsciously. Like for example, everyone sometimes mimics Kaz’s glare. (Like when Wylan threatened to throw Kuwei in the river)

And Jesper didn’t even realize he had it until at the Crow Club, a serving girl had tripped and spilled drinks. It had gotten on his shoe but he didn’t exactly care, especially because it seemed like she took a rather serious fall. Yeah, he’s a softie and tries to act like greed is his only motivator and that he’s just a heartbreaker and troublemaker. SUE HIM, OKAY. Saints forbid a guy doesn’t want to be seen as soft in the Barrel, alright?

Saints fucking forbid.

But he had bent down to her level, dusted her off, asked if she was okay, made sure she was fine. And when she confirmed she was good, Jesper said, “Good. Now help me clean this up before Boss gets back.”

And the serving girl went, “Do I have to?” and Jesper just paused. Slowly straightened himself, turned, and tilts his head ever so slightly. Eyes? Loose all warmth. No jokes. Just blank stares in that Kaz Brekker way, that look he gives you as he says, “I suggest you rethink what you just said to me.”

And that serving girl sees that look and immediately goes, “Oh, okay. I’ll clean it up.” And Jesper smiled and said, “I’ll get you a towel.” completely unaware of what just happened.

The SDCC got me back in the IWTV frenzy again and I'm rewatching the show.

Send fic recs my way! I read mostly post-ending and modern AUs for loustat, preferably something sweet! But feel free to suggest other stuff as well.

Not an original groundbreaking thought, but that particolar part of "Good Luck, Babe!" by Chappell Roan (You know which one) is SO Loustat coded I can't help thinking about them every time I hear that song!!!!
