Ilya feeling like he’s taken advantage of Shane’s inexperience? Shane and Ilya not fucking upon first meeting because one or the other is legitimately afraid of the other? Shane and Ilya not meeting at all until much later when Ilya is deeply depressed and Shane is aware he’s gay and resigned himself to suffer? Or they don’t meet and Shane comes out to his team and deals with the fallout alone? An au where Shane is like 5 years younger and much more comfortable with his sexuality and comes onto Ilya a few years after he’s made the NHL and Ilya is so fucking lonely that he starts fucking Shane and falls in love with Shane while thinking that Shane thinks it’s also casual.

damn everyone really hated my cale/jo/nate fic. I haven’t been on ao3 in months and I went on today and saw the comments and wow people were disappointed.

Sorry guys; I really try to deliver well written and interesting work and I was trying something different structurally with that ending but I guess it didn’t go well.

Except, Max’s new PR officer is a real piece of work. Every morning, Max wakes up to a text from him — George Russell — on his phone summarizing the asinine things journalists have been writing and saying about him over the past twenty-four hours. Every morning, Max ignores Russell’s text.

Max understands that Russell is supposedly special. He understands that it's unique to have a male omega on the team staff. Still, he wants nothing to do with the guy. Russell will have to learn soon enough that his goals and Max’s have very little in common.
