To cake or not to cake, that is the question
All these cakes are beautiful but option 4 looks like a winner to me. I reckon its a vanilla coconut cake - like we had for Nate's naming ceremony. Yes it has to be pretty but it also has to TASTE LIKE YUM.

With range of colours, shapes and materials that allow you to mix and match they are ideal bridesmaid dresses.
Coast is our best equivalent over here and I don't think the quality is as high.

A new plan
I haven't posted for ages, because we've had a bit of a change of plan for the big day. Instead of having the wedding at Titchwell we have decided to have a marquee wedding in Thornham. I say marquee, but these stunning tents aren't your usual marquee.
Titchwell have been totally great, we just decided we wanted a bit more space and flexibility. Thanks to the help of some lovely Thornham villagers we have been able to organise the use of the old cricket ground. Exciting times.
A tale of two teas
So as previously mentioned, I'm helping lovely Tanya organise a tea party. Technically nothing to do with my wedding except being good practice, and the fact I'm thinking of a tea party for my hen do. Anyway I've prepared a couple of inspiration boards to try to discover what kind she would like... either:

Pretty Vintage Hire

Our wedding isn't going to be a "vintage" wedding with all the lovely chintzy tea cups and saucers and bunting (but I can picture that version of the wedding soooo easily!) but I'm thinking I might do a vintage tea party for my hen-do.
Pretty Vintage Hire seems to be the best place in Norfolk to hire all the gorgeous vintage crockery, glassware and linens to make a perfect retro tea party of deliciousness.
Currently I'm getting in the mood by helping lovely Tanya to plan a vintage tea party for this May Bank Holiday so I'll keep you posted on how that goes with pictures etc.

Obviously my dress has to be a secret, but over the next year I will be blogging lots of beautiful dresses I see. So don't get too overexcited, this isn't necessarily "the one." I'm just delighting in it's sparkly gorgeousness from the brilliant net-a-porter wedding boutique.

The gorgeous Hannah and Amy are joining me for the Mayday Bank Holiday for the official wedding kick off. Up til then it has pretty much been me and my computer (as well as helpful input from Mum and Dylan!)
Sooo looking forward to a weekend with my best girls, and we will be going out for a lovely meal and cocktails to celebrate.
I'm also thinking we should watch Monsoon Wedding which is one of the most inspiring wedding movies I've ever seen. So beautiful, funny and touching... Go on you know you want to.
Pure spring gorgeousness
I was browsing Style Me Pretty today and came across this beautiful Californian wedding. In general it is a bit to frou frou for me (and definitely too frou frou for Dylan). But I love this particular image for the rose petals on the grass. I can imagine walking through them in a long flowing dress with sandals on and feeling the petals on my toes. Delicious!
