Ever since I saw deltarune ch5, I've been thinking about fallen human Orange and mad dummy as a fun little duo and now they are stuck in my head

#the colours in ch5 were so gorgeous #it's so awesome to see how far toby and the team have come artstyle vise as well #if i'm not mistaken temmie is still the one we got to thank for all the character designs and sprites #and she's doing AMAZING #like they're so expressive #they've really come a long way from undertale #utdr

every chapter of deltarune has a secret npc who only appears if you leave and re-enter the room 1225 times while you have a bagel in your seventh inventory slot and the npc is a sentient doorknob and when you talk to them the music cuts out and they’re like “who’s that whispering in the trees, it’s two sailors and they’re on leave, pipes and chains and swinging hands, who’s your daddy, yes i am” and then within four hours there’s a thirty minute long video on youtube titled “ASGORE IS FRIEND??? DADDY THEORY EXPLAINED” and it already has 100,000 views and then a year later people call the next chapter disappointing because it was focusing too much on developing the main characters instead of explaining the doorknob guy

#deltarune fans being shocked that the game focuses on things that the average player will understand #instead of stuff that requires hours of replaying the game or data diving to get #like i honestly deltarune for having so many layers of content #like you can get the base story pretty easily without needing to get super good at the game #and then there's stuff you can only get if you're willing to go the extra mile and grind a little #AND THEN if you wanna do even more there are stuff you can only get by digging real deep into the rabbit hole #like it's honestly awesome that toby is considering so many different types of players when he's making the game #and yet the fandom ofc still has those obnoxious people #who claim that you're not a REAL fan if you don't grind the knight fight without the mantle of collect all the eggs #tho tbf every fandom has annoying fans like that #especially game fandoms cuz those are usually divided to fans who prioritise the characters and story #and the fans who prioritise gameplay over story and characters #utdr
