also worth mentioning because some people in this fandom seem to forget it: there is no single objectively correct "canon" interpretation of every scene!!
you can take one scene, show it to ten different people, and get ten different readings. that's how media works. that's how interpretation works.
what drives me crazy is when people stop saying "this is how i read it" and start saying "this is what the scene actually means" especially in a show like supernatural, where half the character dynamics are built on subtext, contradictions, projection and writers accidentally creating implications they never intended.
you're allowed to think a scene is romantic. you're allowed to think it's platonic. you're allowed to think it's about trauma, codependency, family dysfunction, repression, whatever. but the second you start insisting that anyone who disagrees with your interpretation is denying canon, you're no longer discussing the text. you're just policing how other people engage with it.
sometimes a scene is ambiguous. sometimes the writers didn't have one clear intention. sometimes the audience is supposed to bring their own experiences to it.
and, honestly if a scene could only ever be interpreted one way, fandom would be a much more boring place

I'm trying to get back into oil painting with some landscapes—made this today based on one of @geopsych's photos 😄
It's beautiful! Thank you @pastelliaria !
The view from just off the parking lot on Black Rock Road across the borough park. As far as I'm concerned they should hang this in the borough council building. 💙💛💚
btw it's so fucking stupid you can be anxious physically in your body even after you've decided mentally you don't care. I'm supposed to be in charge here
