You know how we make those references about Sam being crucified, dying to save the world, his mom being named Mary, etc. Well, what if the hunters in the show made that connection too?

Silly, random idea, but hear me out: What if some hunters made a religion about Sam? Like just straight-up worshipping him after he comes back from the dead. Like he's Christ.

The boys probably discover it because they're linking up with some hunters for a case, and Dean will be like, "I'm Dean, this is my brother Sam—" and the hunters push Dean out of the way like, "Sam? Like Samuel Winchester?" And Sam mouths, "What the fuck?" to Dean and Dean shrugs.

The hunters either bow or drop to their knees or whatever and after the case, take him to an abandoned church they've repurposed for their Sam religion, and it's like the freaky feeling he had when he and Dean found out they had fans from the Carver Edlund books, but a lot creepier.

And if the writers weren't cowards, he'd still have his psychic abilities, so that would only further their amazement. "I just have random visions sometimes, no, I can't see the future," he'd have to explain several times and, "Well, I moved something with my mind once, but my brother was in danger. I don't know if I can do it on command," and, "Yes, I can exorcize demons with my powers, but it's complicated..."

Speaking of demons; demon blood offerings. They just have a fuck ton of it like, "Here, this is for you! :)" And they're confused when Sam is violently shaking his head no and backing away. Dean shuts that down immediately.

And, of course, Dean is jealous of all of this.

Sam believes it's because Dean wants to have his own religion, too. Dean doesn't deny it. It's easier than explaining that he's jealous of how touchy the worshippers are being with Sam and that he's two seconds away from blowing up the church.

It's okay, though. Dean will just have to step up and worship Sam in his own special way later. ♡

Wincest AU where John and Mary separated before Sam was born. Here are some things that I'd like to include in this universe!

There are no monsters, but Mary Winchester fully believes that there are monsters. She struggles to draw the line between reality and fiction (which is part of why she and John separated), which becomes worse when she swears that she's pregnant with the Devil Himself inside of her.

John Winchester is an alcoholic that hunts in the wilderness. He lives in a cabin in the woods with his three year old son, Dean. His best friend is Bobby Singer, whom is also Dean's beloved uncle.

Sam is raised to believe that he's evil incarnate and that he is unclean. As he gets older, Mary becomes increasingly paranoid about angels going after them. To exterminate the devil. Mary and Sam are constantly on the move and they never stay in one place for very long.

Dean is raised to survive in the wild. He knows how to hunt and fish. He knows how to handle knives and guns. He's short-tempered just like his father. John did his very best to raise him and to teach Dean that monsters do exist, but they're called humans. Humans are very monstrous and to watch who he trusts.

How do they meet, you wonder?

Imagine Sam running away from Mary after another attempt to cleanse him of the "devil", and he's covered in his and lamb's blood. He runs into the wild, pure adrenaline aiding him, and he's crying as he still hears his mother screaming even though he's miles away from her. The sun is going down and Dean has his rifle ready to shoot a deer, but instead, the deer is spooked by a wailing teen that's all bloody gangly limbs. Sam rushes into the clearing and trips over a root and he just lays on the ground. Dean, pissed that his target ran off, stomps towards Sam to possibly yell and screech. Instead, Dean is speechless when he sees the state that Sam is in.

"Hey, what the hell happened to you?"

There's no response. The kid has passed out, blood steadily pooling underneath him.

Dean curses under his breath once he notices. He hesitates to pick the kid up, but he's curious and he doesn't fancy having a death on his conscious. Especially if he can still try to save the kid. Without further ado, he drags Sam up and princess-carries him all the way back to the cabin. John is absent since he works as a ranger, and Dean is left to try to patch up the mess that was Sam.

Pretty interesting idea, if I do say so myself.

Look, Sam is not perfect. The guy is flawed. When he thinks he’s right, he’s hard to move. He can be an asshole to the people he cares about most. He’s committed atrocities. That’s what makes him interesting.

If we were talking about Dean or Cas, the same would still be true. That’s what people like about them. But people don’t seem to extend that same grace to Sam :(

if there is a moment where sam and dean "get together" officially, nothing appreciably changes for a minute. because they're both so stupidly obsessed and in love that it's just another monday that dean looks at his brother and wants to lick his neck just for fun.

sam at first is like ?? oh ?? idk i guess i just thought he'd want me more ?? but doesn't want to change the status quo of dean looking at him very intently for thirty seconds and then walking away.

and honestly most days sam doesn't even remember--he's wanted for twenty-plus years and wasn't allowed to touch--until he's watching dean drink from a straw and the way his mouth curves and he thinks "i want to kiss him" and remembers, "oh right! i can, now!" and just leans across the table and pulls the straw out of dean's mouth and plants a kiss right on him that tastes like cherry coke.

and now dean is like !!!!! OH FUCK !!!! RIGHT !!!!!! and now they're being escorted out of a denny's because dean shoved both his tongue into sam's mouth and his hand down sam's pants in the middle of a lunch rush on a random thursday.

wanting versus getting is a hell of a drug.
