big fan of when a character is dead and the narrative frames them in a very angelic, soft, gentle manner but then it turns out not only are they still alive (plot twist) but theyre alive in the most gruesome and horrific way. your loving kind mentor who motivates you to fight in their memory came back wrong and theres blood and dirt under their fingernails from clawing they way out of the grave.

Hey so I know we All Know This but I will NEVER be over a character being feverish and delirious and making No sense. I will never be over a glittery-eyed, shivering, distressed character weakly gripping another's arm and asking them questions they don't know the answer to, and probably don't mean anything at all. I will never be over characters calling out for people either long gone or right next to them, but unrecognizable in their delirium. I will never be over a character crying in frustration and fear over something in their head they can't explain to whoever is helping them, and all they can do in return is stroke their hair and shush them gently.

i like a character who follows all of the rules their whole life and then ends up with big fucking nothing except their own self righteous #coping because the rules arent actually good for them or for anybody else

living weapon characters who cant conceptualise not being the one who puts themselves in danger for others. living weapon characters who dont understand why someone would ever protect them instead of the other way around. they're flabbergasted the first time someone (e.g. found family) steps in to protect them.

Drugs in whump are so top tier. I don't care if it's impractical.

Drugged Whumpee hallucinating their rescue only to realize later how wrong they were.

Medically drugged Whumpee hallucinating Whumper after their rescue

Whumper basically using drugs to get Whumpee addicted to torture. Whatever strong drug Whumper is giving them, Whumpee is only allowed to have it during torture. They're basically begging for it after a certain point.

Drugged Whumpee who has a really bad reaction to the drug and is more scared of the drug than of Whumper (much to Whumper's annoyance).

Whumpee going through withdrawal symptoms after they're rescued. They start to hate Caretaker for rescuing them.

Caretaker needing to give Whumpee a medication (even something basic like cough medicine) that leads to Whumpee spiraling thinking Caretaker is the same as Whumper and is trying to drug them too.

I just feel like drugs have so much potential.
