On December 4th in 2006 I walked onto a stage for the first time to do burlesque. My first act was an awkward homage to Hedwig and my fascination with female/male signifiers. Earlier this year I got to recreate my debut act at the 99 cent edition of Ridiculesque, bubble wrap dress and all. I have no photos or videos from my original act so being able to do this was exhilarating. As someone who tends to over think things to a fault, I am thankful that this was one of the things I never questioned. I researched, I learned and I embraced it wholeheartedly. And I took a leap of faith. Thank you to the producers who've booked me and the people who believed in me along these 12 years.
