Sonic and Tails Role Swap AU

Tails is the adventuring hero of mobius

While Sonic is a pilot/mechanic who’s a low-key genius

Tails is just a really feral hyperactive child who just straight up adopted Sonic as an older brother after asking Sonic to fly him all the way to chemical plant to defeat eggman again

But along with the role swap I’m also changing Sonic’s relationship with his own speed. I'm thinking that Sonic is insecure about his speed due to bullying and other jerks calling him a freak, he acts like it doesn't bother him and laughs it off but he doesn't run

Like at all

If he has to run he deliberately slows himself down

His boots are even weighted down so that it’s harder for him to reach high speeds

Sonic does eventually get over that hang up but it’s not for a while.
