Okay, I'll go and visit your doll collecting friend IF you can promise me that the dolls aren't secretly people. Don't laugh, I'm not being ridiculous. This is the fourth friend with dolls we've visited and they always turn out to be people. I'm not exaggerating! There was the little kid who shrunk people down and put them in her dollhouse, there was the old woman with the porcelain doll collection that were all haunted with the spirits of dead people, there was your cousin whose action figures came to life -- yes that last one counts! I don't care if the action figures weren't previously human, coming to life as thinking feeling beings makes them people!

Honestly this is getting to be a bit much. If the dolls are gonna be people again, tell me. I'm starting to think I'm not ready for this level of friend visitation commitment. I'm beginning to regret starting to date you so soon after my previous boyfriend mysteriously disappeared on the very day that you started your funko pop collection.

They weren't my therian partners, I initially tried to make my pets live longer by putting them in human corpses. (This was Plan B; cat corpses came out too creepy.) Then labubus came into fashion and that was way easier re: maintenance and preservation.

Man After Man is a book by Dougal Dixon on the speculative evolution of man after climate change, genetic engineering, and environmental collapse leads to the engineering of new human species to fill those biological niches, which then goes completely wild when society totally collapses and evolution runs wild.

As for why they’re so hairy? To survive in the freezing tundra. Why are they in the tundra? No idea. New human subspecies are created seemingly just to exist. However, be glad that they are hairy cause it’s the non hairy ones that are really horrifying.

remember like 15 years ago when black bloggers were talking about this exact shit, 'digital blackface', white internet users appropriating images and clips of black people and using them as cartoonish exaggerated expressions of absurdity or high emotion. straight line from minstrelsy to your reaction gifs and nobody fucking cares any more. white people just decided not to acknowledge it and it went away, just like every other time black users have ever tried to criticise any aspect of online culture.
