hey there, new kid! welcome to the blog of the one and only, blaine anderson! there's a ton to say but i'm afraid i've never been all that great with summaries, especially when they're about myself, so you're going to have to bear with me here! i currently reside in westerville and will once again be attending dalton academy come september, which if you don't know, is the greatest damn school around. i'm apart of a few teams and clubs such as tennis, polo, soccer and my personal favorite; the dalton academy warblers! right now i serve as their lead soloist and let me tell you, the guys in this group are without a doubt the greatest people i've ever met. i'm in my junior year currently and i'm hoping this year is the year we all end up at nationals, and take home that trophy that is just calling our names! don't tell me you can't hear it. i'm seventeen and like most people, i'm just trying to figure out who i am one day at a time. as for what you'll find on here, well.. i'm not too sure, but prepare yourself. music is a huge part of my life so there is a huge probability that it'll fill these pages soon enough, along with everything else i love whether it amazing movies, some of my favorite quotes, or who even knows? if there's anything you'd like to know, don't be afraid to step forth out of the internet shadows and get down to the bottom of it!
How much hair gel do you go through on a weekly basis?
A bottle of hair gel lasts me about two weeks, or a week and a half if my hair decides not to cooperate. If I shopped at Costco, it would last quite a bit longer, but alas, I can’t justify buying gallons at a time.
Who can pick just one? Cheesecake, crème brûlée, biscotti, pudding, fresh cookies, ice cream? Come on, I can’t even consider narrowing it down. As a foodie, you can never just have one.
I’m not necessarily a man of religious faith, and I side more on evolution’s side. I do have spiritual beliefs, but I don’t believe in the bible, or specific things practiced and preached today... Especially when they involve condemning others to hell and other painfully narrow minded beliefs that are beyond archaic...
I’m all for people following what makes them happy, but only when it doesn’t hurt others outright. Thankfully society has gotten a lot more open minded, and actually progressed instead of regressing.
And I agree with you wholeheartedly. The problem is, the usual suspects are in fact too cowardly to do such a thing especially if it meant a detriment to their particular sport. Also, the usual victims aren’t about to volunteer to throw them at the faculty to be martyrs for something we didn’t start nor condone just to prove a point. It’s a failing system.
Hidden cameras, that or Google glass, though that would end badly... But hey, if you’ve got footage they’d have to reimburse you the damages! Which by the sounds of it is pretty extensive when it comes to your wardrobe.
You’re a Dalton Academy boy, I suppose there’s a certain amount of tradition that must come along with that. Myself, I’ve always found blazers to be just a little constricting. These shoulders need to breathe.
Nothing is fun without a little danger, Blaine Anderson. People don’t go to the circus for the popcorn.
Right you are and... Have you ever actually tried on a Dalton Academy blazer? I don’t want to say it’s an other worldly experience, but it’s right up there. I’ve always been a fan of blazers, but these are something different. Don’t knock it til you try it. RIGHT? Although the circus is much more my alley, nothing sounds appealing about a meat dress, not even when Gaga herself is wearing one. But the circus? That’s something I can passionately get behind.
It’s not that I think they’re right, I’m simply resigned to the fact that they don’t plan on doing anything about it. It’s been like this since Freshmen year, and none of my attempts at demolishing it have stuck. Even joining the football team, however briefly that was. Nothing’s going to happen if I bring it to anyone’s attention, so what’s the point?
Because it’s not right. The point is you’re worth more than this. You don’t deserve it. No one does, but especially not someone as wonderful as you. You’re not going to suffer through another school year.
I’m so wiped out from football practice, I forgot I actually have to go to class and stuff later. I don’t think Coach Beiste wants us alive by the end of the year.
You just need to adjust! You’ll be back into the swing of things in no time! And of course she does, the McKinley Titans can’t win their football games if she’s got a bunch of zombies on the team!
Seriously, it’s not even a month into classes, and I’m already tired of the frat boy scene over at OSU. It’s a pain to get to, and my hangovers are the worst after shitty Natty Lites.
OSU? What, do you just hang out at campus and sniff out the parties? How can you get tired of that? Sure, frat boys have a tendency to be obnoxious (judging by the movies and past experience with m brother), but they can’t all be that bad, right?
No introduction should be necessary, as if you don’t know who I am by now, you’ve surely been living under a rock. I sincerely hope that none of you make me regret creating this blog…keep in mind that it is a privilege, not a right, to follow me and be followed by me. Oh, and don’t forget: Christ Crusaders meets at my house tomorrow night at 5 PM. Don’t be late.
Ah, Quinn.. it’s nice to see you’ve finally joined us.
I was wondering when you’d show up. You missed a killer party last week.
Your place wasn’t too bad the next day? Things really did mov fast after that so I don’t blame you. It’s already a new week and the only reason I’m not surprised is because I’m too sore from football practice. I don’t know about easy transition, but I haven’t been late to school yet so I count it as a win.
Well, we already have a sub and she dresses up when she teaches History.
Not too bad! There were a few... oddities, but I got it sorted pretty quick! How is football practice going this far? I’d say it’s a pretty good win so far, after all, you’ve gotta count the little things!
You’re kidding me, right? Like Mr. Dressup sort of thing? That’s amazing.
Jesse St. James is far from out of the picture. Trust me, Vocal Adrenaline has it. What kinds of sports teams do you have lined up?
Oh, I know you guys have it, but I’m pretty confident this year. And what don’t I? I’m a bit of an overachiever, but so far I’ve got the swim team, soccer, polo, and jousting. Soccer isn’t till next semester, but I’m excited. What about you? What do you do when you’re not rehearsing?
You’re a brave soldier standing up to the diehard traditionalists, I’ll give you that. I’m a fan of anything new and exciting, especially in worlds that tend to be repetitive and boring, like the high school circuit. I’m imagining a Lady Gaga medley with the choir donning matching meat dresses. That’s the future of show choir. Not another take on Bye Bye Birdie.
Good to know, I’ll remember that. Well, someone has to. And don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge traditionalist, but if we’re talking music, there is far too much in the world to stick with the same fifty songs. Plus, imagine everyone headed to Nationals with the same song selection, it would be literal Hell on earth. But thank you, I appreciate it. I... Oh god, meat dresses. Something tells me that’s a safety hazard.
I still don’t understand how there’s a primitive social hierarchy reminiscent of 90′s teen movies myself, but alas, there’s nothing one sole person can do about it. Barbaric it is, though. But believe me, nobody wants slushie attacks to stop more than I. Do you know the amount of clothes I’ve had to discard because blue dye doesn’t wash out? So many, Blaine. So many.
I might be inclined to say I’m rather envious of Dalton for that. But thank you for the well wishes, I truly appreciate it.
You’ve actually had to throw away your clothes? Not only is this unpleasant to experience, it’s also costing you and everyone else that gets slushied money. Something honestly needs to be done about this. You know if the students were running around throwing them at the faculty it would stop mighty quick... Not that I’m insinuating people should but... Somethings gotta give.
I don’t understand why everyone’s been saying that lately.
I’m not at the liberty to say anything, but you should get a helmet in case the crazed hair sniffer decides that their collection would be better if they just scalped you. I saw that happen by accident in Hostel.
I... Crazed hair sniffer? I’m not entirely worried about being scalped, after all, Hostel was only a terrible horror movie... I think we’ll be okay.
No, of course not. The staff of this school is as useless as Lima itself. It’s really not that big of a deal, anyways. Childish, petty, the usual; it’s behind me already. I’m not sure who it was, there’s no name or anything with it.
No, Kurt, it does matter. Despite how little the faculty seems to care, don’t ever start thinking they’re right. It’s a huge deal and it’s not even remotely okay. I know you’re strong and always moving forward, but this is the kind of thing that needs to be demolished before it grows into something much more malicious. You’re not anyone’s punching bag. It’s worth bringing to their attention.
