Hello, hello.

A fair amount. Why do you ask?
Be wary of the Evil variants of you, Hero. You must remain in the Light.

While I do appreciate the concern, uh... Astor, I don't think I have much to worry about. I normally just offer food to them, and everyone, really.
Speaking of which, would you like anything to eat?
Yes. I grow tired of the Bananas the Yiga have in stock. Anything shall suffice.
How about carrot cake? I usually make it with endura carrots, helps keep my energy up!
Do the Yiga do anything with those bananas they hoard? I don't think I've ever seen them make something with them, just eat them straight. Has to get boring. I have my favorite foods and all, but even I need a change of flavor now and then.
They do not, the most I have seen is a variation of a banana bread they have made with the ones going bad. But yes, I would like to try a carrot cake.
That's... depressing. For a group that loves bananas so much, they don't really eat them, huh?
*Link gives a smile and nods, tying his hair up*
Great, I've had a pretty rough day, so something sweet is sure to cheer anyone up.
It's more-so worship them. Deify them. The fact that they're edible is a bonus. Might I ask what king of rough day? *He is rather quizzical, calm, sane. Very unlike the Astor that caused a war.*
Well, I had decided I was going to go out, visit my friends at Zora's Domain-
*He walked around his kitchen, gathering an endura carrot, Tabantha wheat, cane sugar, and goat butter.*
-but on my way there, I got stabbed. I didn't get a good look at them, outside of what weapon they used-
*He set the ingredients on the counter, walking over to a chest and pulling out a piece of flint.*
-which they used a spear, for a sneak attack, who does that? It's stupid, even the Yiga Clan is smarter than that!
*He walks over to his cooking pot, pulling a small dagger from his satchel and striking the flint to light the fire underneath.*
Anyway, regarding the wound, I had somehow completely forgotten to restock on hearty elixirs, so I could only dress my wound with the bandages I had on hand.
*He tucks the dagger away as he walks back over to the counter, gathering the ingredients into his arms.*
I did manage to get ahold of something to heal me, something called a red potion? I think it's an ancient recipe for hearty elixirs. But because of that, it got too late to visit my friends.
*He tosses the ingredients into the pot, allowing the pot to work its magic as he turns to look at his guest.*
I've been kind of stuck at home for the past 5 months. Zelda won't let me return to my duties yet, so I'm losing my mind a bit.
Red potions and hearty elixirs are one in the same, it all depends on if a formally trained alchemist made it or not.
*he sits down, pulling down his hood since he is indoors and it could be considered rude.*
Have you considered picking up a hobby to pass the time? I used to journal before my… Dismissal from the castle. Dabbled in short form writing as well.
I figured, since they both taste horrible.
*He laughs, turning back to the pot to keep an eye it. It was almost done.*
I picked up gardening, some unique fruits and desired vegetables so that I'm not likely to run low should I need them. But still, I've found that I've holed myself up here. Kind of feels like I'd be a bother to my friends and loved ones if I just turned up suddenly, especially since they're all aware that I'm not allowed on duty currently.
When have you ever been a bother to them? I’ve personally never witnessed a single time. They enjoy your company. Does being on duty really matter?
*He hums in thought as he set aside the fresh carrot cake, grabbing a pitcher and gently pouring water onto the fire beneath the pot.*
Even if I'm really not a bother to them... I suppose the mindset I adopted a hundred years ago still somewhat has me in it's grasp. I don't wish to be a burden to anyone. As the Hero, I shouldn't be a burden, or put my burden on others. Zelda and Revali have been trying to get me to let go of that type of thinking, but I guess as long as I, as the Hero, am needed in that way, I'll always feel this way.
I am not trained for this I am a seer not a..
As the saying goes, old habits die hard. I guess some die harder than others.
*He nods as he grabs a knife. He begins to cut the cake into even slices. Once that's done, he grabs a couple plates and forks, setting a cake slice on each plate. He sets down the knife and turns towards the table with the two plates.*
Yeah, that's what Lady Urbosa says. She tries to help, but there's only so much she can do.
*He walks over, setting a plate in front of Astor before sitting down himself.*
There’s only so much one can do. Like I am but a passive servant of Fate.
*He gladly accepts the cake, happy to finally have something that doesn’t have bananas in it.*
Thank you for the cake, Hero.
I was curious about that. You're not... You're not from my timeline. I mean, aside from you probably being the opposite of my universe's Astor, I've never met you. Unless I'm simply forgetting, which I wouldn't be surprised in the least.
Of course, you're welcome here anytime you get tired of bananas.
*He laughs as he cuts into his cake, bring the piece to his mouth. A satisfied hum emanated from him at the sweet taste of the cake.*
I am not. The timeline where I am from, you and the Princess turned towards the side of Evil. I work alongside @/bright-master-kohga but my true Lord is @/thegoodguynowganondorf. I simply wish to halt the spread of Evil.
I will not apologize for anything that my alternative timeline selfs have done.
I see. That's... rather upsetting to hear, in regards to me and Zelda. And the idea that Kohga and Ganondorf could be good guys would've made my life a lot easier.
And, as I said, I wouldn't know. Either you're not from my specific timeline, or I simply don't remember. I never recovered all my memories, so I know there's a lot I've forgotten.
There’s a possibility, seeing as I’m unable to divine that sort of information whereas I’m typically able. But seeing as you didn’t attack me on sight or are surprised I’m alive, maybe we met in the past.
You haven't given me a reason to see you as a threat. Would you even be able to live over a hundred years? You look like a Hylian, but you seem to have some sort of powerful magic, so-
A bit of time travel, don't worry about it. I am Hylian, my abilities comes from decades of practice and a sort of natural ability, not to brag or anything, but I am quite the accomplished sorcerer.
*A deadpan look settles on Link's face.*
One of my partners is the Rito Champion, Hyrule's biggest bragger, so I do recognize bragging.
*Link laughs a little.*
I don't mind if you do brag about your talents, so long as you can back it up. Revali brags because he knows he can prove it. Besides, I know very little about magic, so I don't really have an opinion.
Of course I don't compare to my Ganondorf, so I do know where my limits lie. My specialty lies in reading the future.
*Astor cracks a smile dude stop smiling you look creepy and crazy--*
I'd love to show off sometime. Just to see what I can do.
*Link shifts in his seat, a little unnerved by Astor's smile.*
The future, huh? I think I'm good taking it one day at a time, haha.
Magic's more Zelda's interest, I prefer sticking to weapons.
Don’t disregard a good spell though, many of your predecessors are good with a few. Shields, minor teleportation, fire balls, whatever that sword beam the Hero of Hyrule can do.
Be wary of the Evil variants of you, Hero. You must remain in the Light.

Can we burn the Master Sword?
not really-- it's strong metal and blessed by the goddesses, it won't burn
and heroes in the future need it to complete their journey. even though she's a pain in the ass sometimes, without her some of us wouldn't be alive
Can we melt the Master Sword?
Mhm... All that is a shit. Why wouldn't we use the fucking triforce to kill Ganon once and for all?
because he's a god and the bitch ass, excuse me, the golden three don't feel like killing a god and hylia doesn't have the power to
basically the gods and their fucked up power dynamics
no breaking the sword until we find a way to end the cycle
. . . 'the fuck you mean about "end the cycle"..?
... the uh, the ongoing repeating prophecy? yknow, 'one day a great evil will rise... something something take the princess... something something hero will rise to save her and vanquish the evil' and all..? i've come across it in almost every timeline
THERE'S A FUCKING ENDLESS CYCLE?!?!
I don't fucking belive you. I don't fucking trust you. Is this all for nothing?! I went through all that shit for nothing?!
UGH! *grabs hair* I should have known, of course it wouldn't end. *grunt in annoyance* And Zel doesn't fucking tell me, of course she wouldn't tell me!
*grabs his sword and a certain specific mask* I'm fucking killing the goldens.
I would advise against that. One of your ancestors may have killed a God before, but the Golden Three are much stronger than the dead God.
Mhm... Could you give me a scale? Approximately, of course
Seventeen times, approximately of course.
hylia is going to have my head if this kid actually follows through

That's...

I am but a passive follower of Fate. Come to me and I will read your fortune. Anything to prevent the return of Calamity Ganon.
Might I inquire as to why you are evil?
— @not-so-bad-astor
Normally, I don’t remember. Normally, I say I’m evil because ‘why not’. But I remember. I remember very, very well, now.
My answer is death.
Interesting. Who died?
Me.
I should have seen that answer coming.
