Why would you hate for someone to call a puppy a "baby" or a "baby dog" that's such an unnecessary thing to call out. It is a baby. We just call them puppies.

A “baby dog” is a puppy. It just sounds stupid to call it a baby dog and the only reason I call it out is because the people who do it are usually the ones who only care about dogs for looks. (Also as I’ve stated before the things I say when I reblog stuff usually aren’t that serious)Puppies aren’t accessories. If you don’t like what I call out stay off my blog maybe?? 😊😊😊

Pet Peeve: Mislabeling Dog Breeds

This is a very huge issue on Tumblr today. Mislabeling purebred dog breeds as mutts. Yes, you heard me. MUTTS. Two dog breeds doesn’t make a purebred, and designer names like gerberian shepsky or pomsky, or german corgi doesn’t make it purebred either. There is literally more than 400 dog breeds in the world today. Why isn’t any of those enough for you? Buying a mutt from a puppymill or a backyard breeder only make the shelters grow, because, oh wait, who would have known a GERMAN SHEPHERD and a SIBERIAN HUSKY mix need to work in not only one but TWO different areas - guarding/hours of mental training and physical training. Slamming up a treadmill in the middle of your livingroom won’t be enough training for this kind of mutt, or any dog, really, but enough about that. 

The most popular mix mislabeling on Tumblr seem to be the ones containing siberian husky. Just because a dog has blue eyes doesn’t make it a husky mix. There are plenty of other breeds who have blue eyes. Hell, there’s even breeds who have amber eyes! 

The most popular ones have been siberian husky/pomeranian, siberian husky/corgi, and siberian husky/german shepherd. 

The dogs in the last two GIF’s are purebred Alaskan Klee Kai.

Many argue that mutts are healthier than purebreds. There is about 1-2 handfuls of purebreds that is unhealthy. You can’t label 400+ breeds as unhealthy based on 5-10 breeds. First generation mutts CAN be healthier than their two purebred parents, but as soon as you continue breeding generations upon generations, ALL the healthproblems from both breeds pop up. If you add more breeds into said mix, you add more problems. Pedigrees are there for one thing - to keep track on mental health and physical health. Mutt breeders (backyard breeders) doesn’t check the dogs eyes, hips, elbows, mental health and so on. 

There’s a reason mutts and purebreds without pedigrees exist. Somewhere one or two dogs failed the health tests needed to be allowed to breed and register the puppies as purebreds. Think about that next time you mislabel a dogbreed, buy a mutt from a backyard breeder or a dog without a pedigree from a puppymill or a petshop.

Very cute! I certainly think they have potential to be great dogs. My main problem is with the breeders and lack of care going into the breeding of these dogs, along with all the potential health problems that come breeding such a small dog with a larger one.
