Video Diary (1) #9
Alright, Ed. You can do this. Here goes nothing. Turning the gold knob, Ed walked into the room and looked around. All he saw was a camera, a chair, and his questions. This meant business and Ed was ready for it. Sitting in the chair, Ed looked at the questions and sighed. He then looked into the camera and smiled sweetly. "Alright. Lets get started. Oh, and I'm Ed Westwick." He waved, looked down at the questions again and started to read them off.
~ If you were going to die at midnight, what would you be doing at 11:45pm?
As Ed looked over the first question, he itched his chin for an answer. "What would you be doing at 11:45pm..." Ed said out loud as he thought. Finally thinking of something, he looked into the camera and started to speak. "I would be back at home in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England with my family and spending my last moments with them. They've been by side and have truly supported me in everything I do. I wouldn't want to be with anyone else, really."
~ Would you rather be rich and paralyzed from the waist down or poor and able bodied?
"Uhm," Ed started, looking up and sideways trying to find an answer in his mind. "I would actually be fine with either of those choices. If I was alive, then I'm all good and I can still act, which is a plus." Ed laughed, his smiling growing bigger as he did.
~ When you think of "home" what do you think of?
Smiling at this question, Ed didn't even have to think about the answer since he already knew it. "I think of helping my mother, Carole, plant flowers and veggies in my backyard back home in England." Ed said, his smile never leaving his face. "Whenever my mother would go out and work on our garden, I would always run down and help her since gardening is one of my favorite things to do. I connected with her more while doing it and it's a fun experience. Aside from acting, my dream job would have to be Landscaping Gardening for sure."
~ What would you change if you knew you were NEVER going to die?
"If I was never going to die..." Ed started, thinking about this question as hard as he could. This was a tough question since he didn't know what he would change. Licking his lips as he thought, he looked back into the camera and stared for a moment. "I wouldn't change anything, to be honest. I love my life right now and there is nothing I could change. I'm blessed and thankful every single day of my life."
~ If you had to instill one piece of advice in a newborn baby's mind, what advice would you give?
His smile turning into a soft grin, Ed read over this last question with happy thoughts in his mind. Ed loved babies and would be honored if he actually got to give advice to them. Looking at the camera one last time, Ed opened his mouth and started to answer. "The advice I'd give to a newborn baby would be to never give up on your dreams. It can be tough and your road might not be easy like some are, but once you see your dream right in front of you, grab onto it as fast as you can and never let go of it."

After answering the last question, the small grin never left his face. This was his first video diary and honestly he liked it more than he should of. This was a place he could share his thoughts and not be judged by whoever was sitting across from them. Blowing a kiss into the camera and winking, Ed sat up from the chair, turned off the video camera, and walked out of the room leaving every piece of his thoughts in the camera.
