Some Dragon Thorin sketches (He is just a big cat)

And random facts about sleeping Thorin.

He is uncomfortable sleeping on his back because of the spines, so he curls up like a cat.

And he can hibernate as real dragons, which can sleep for years and decades, but his ability is much weaker. He can sleep for months and eat four or five times for all this time, but in this state he can't dream and barely remembers waking up to eat. That’s how he lived before Bilbo. But the more time Thorin spends with him, the less sleepy he gets

Like when Thorin “shouts in Elvish” in Desolation of Smaug, except I find it unironically hilarious and very in character for him to have enough of a grudge that he learned a whole other language just so he could insult Thranduil more directly.
