AO3 has recently seen a wave of comments claiming to be made by the "AO3 Trust & Safety team", notifying you that your account has been restricted. These claims are not true. These comments are not being made by real AO3 volunteers and your account has not been restricted.

AO3 volunteers, including the Policy & Abuse committee, will never communicate with you through comments on your work. All important communications from AO3 will be sent through the email associated with your account. More general announcements will be posted on our official social media accounts or published as news posts on AO3 or OTW.org.

If you receive one of these comments, do not click on any of the links in it, reply to it, or interact with it in any way. The links in these comments lead to sites asking you to verify your identity by providing payment information. This is a common credit card scam. AO3 does not ever ask users to provide payment information, and the Policy & Abuse committee will never comment on your works asking you to "complete an identity verification process".

If you encounter one of these comments or believe your account has been compromised, please view the instructions under the cut!

Reporting in this fashion helps us auto-sort your report so that it can be handled as soon as a Policy & Abuse volunteer is available. I love this art so very much. It pairs well with Fíli and Ori at the beginning of Let Me Be Your Fire, my largest fic endeavor ever. To me, KnittedLion together is sun/moon coded always, but especially in this series.

Andy created the most wonderful art of them, and I have not been able to stop staring at it occasionally, or being so utterly grateful to him for having done this fan art at all. So, please, give him so much love for his AMAZING art, because he really did such fantastic work!! 💛

Surprise WIP Filiori snippet!!

The snippet below is from Chapter 6 of The Second Song (my modern reincarnation AU) which means I have at least two chapters before it that I haven’t even written yet 🙃

But, the Filiori fixation is going strong, so here we are. I’m really happy with how this chapter is turning out, though, so I wanted to share a bit of it! 💜

"Ori?" Fili says, almost whispers it, but the man hears it, anyway.

Ori turns at the sound of his voice and, as soon as he does, Fili gets his first glimpse of the man's dark green eyes, and he just knows. He doesn't quite understand just how or why, but he lets that falling sensation flutter through his stomach before it settles in the center of his chest, right where he knows it's supposed to be.

"Yes?" Ori asks, brow furrowed slightly in confusion. "Aren't you one of the new musicians?"

Fili nods and tries to remember how to breathe. This man means something to him, but he hasn't figured out the reason, just yet.

"Yes, I…" Fili begins before realizing that he hasn't quite planned what he is going to to say. "I just thought… I recognized you from… somewhere."

Fili trails off knowing how absolutely daft he sounds but the other man only smiles at him, though in a way that isn't condescending or smug. It is a thoughtful, warm smile, and he is clearly amused by Fili's words.

"Have we met?" Ori responds, more curious than anything and with a hint of laughter in his voice. This eases Fili's nerves enough that he decides to play along with a slightly teasing tone, unsure if Ori is one of those who, like himself, has frequent flashes of a past life.

"In another time," Fili answers with his usual easy confidence, back now after its brief disappearance.
