Did things just go from strange to completely b i z z a r e? It seemed as if the answer to that was an affirmative.
❝Sorry, but I’m not understanding what the problem is. What do you mean by America Above?❞
Sure, there was South America and North America. The way they were typically positioned on textbook maps or just maps in general would suggest that one was above the other. Thanks to the two different directions, it was all too easy for anyone to be able to tell which was above and which was below. Perhaps that was what this confusing acquaintance was trying to imply. It was the only reasonable explanation the brunette could think of at the moment. Hopefully the explanation that Door provided was exactly that or at least one that could be easily understood.
How it was she had even found herself in such an unusual situation was anyone’s guess right now. It had certainly not been her intention to happen across an unfamiliar face who was capable of traveling in an odd way. Then again, normal was such an overrated word. The definition was always twisted to meet the needs of the person who was making use of the term. What was ordinary for one individual might be absolutely off beat for another. There was no doubt that her own capabilities would appear as different to the presently troubled female.
❝ Of course you don't understand,❞ Door agrees as she begins to pace again. She doesn't have time to explain. Actually, quite frankly, she has all the time in the world, but explanations are dull and useless considering that her situation won't truly be fully understood by someone from above.
❝ A pigeon. I'll need to find a pigeon. Stay here, Cara. I'll return shortly.❞ With a confident smile, Door nods her head dismissively and walks out of the alleyway, continuing her trek until she was in a more populated area. Equipped with breadcrumbs, finding a pigeon isn't hard to do. She gently seizes the bird and carries it in her hands as she makes her way back to the alley.
❝ ----Yes, yes of course. You've helped me many times before. Thank you,❞ Door says, releasing the pigeon just as she rounds the corner into the alley. ❝ Might you have some sort of fiefdom I can stay at for the time being, Cara? A safe place? I'd be able to explain everything better if I could find somewhere safe.❞
