Essay season or who cares let’s do sudoku season
Started the day with a hot shower and a nice cup of coffee.
Back to the grind again
I want to dream and for once not let the world crush it. It doesn’t have to come true, just give me a reason to look forward to seeing another day.

So these are the first few pages of my bullet journal! I did a yearly 2017 spread as well as a January habit tracker. I added a personal touch to it so I made a bucket list to celebrate the New Year and also an about me! These polaroids by the way are 2 years old! So forgive my face :-)

when school is going chill but then all of a sudden ur hit with assignments, essays, and midterms in all of ur classes during the same week 🙃 RIP me

how to start your day off right!
hi! it’s claire here with a masterpost on how to start your day off right! i hope you enjoy it & share it if u did! :) this is super applicable for summer to establish a routine that can carry through to school!
- THE NIGHT BEFORE -
try to go to sleep as early as possible so you can wake up early
check the weather for tomorrow & pick out your outfit. take time to make sure you feel as lovely as possible in it.
lay everything out so your morning is as seamless as possible!
i like to pack my bag for school so i have one less thing to worry about in the morning!
- WAKE UP EARLY -
this might be hard for some night owls
gradually wake up earlier (like 15 min or so) over the course of a month until you get to your dream time!
it’s the best feeling to have already achieved stuff on your to-do list before most people have even gotten up!!!
+ no distractions bc it’s quiet

eat earlier dinners
TRY to log off electronics for as long as possible before bed (not achievable for a lot of people, I know)
drink water before bed!
- ALARM HACKS -
set your first alarm to be a calming noise/song you like to gradually wake you up
set your second alarm to be jarring and loud to get you up on your feet!
try to put your alarm as far away as possible (ie across the room)
kiwake & step out are apps that need you to take a picture of an object (eg your sink) before it turns off the alarm!
kiwake also has an option for a quick brain game to wake up all parts of your body!
leave your blinds/curtains partially open
the sunlight will naturally wake you up!
- BREAKFAST -
NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST! even if you’re trying to lose weight or if you’re running late… bc
it gets your metabolism going
eat a nice, healthy breakfast
acai bowl
oatmeal
banana ‘nice cream’ - tastes just like ice cream i swear!
try to incorporate fruits
lots of natural sugars + quite filling!
natural sugar –> better memory recall!
Make sure you hydrate!
I down a glass as soon as I wake up!
this will help your skin and your health overall!
fill up a water bottle for the day or make some infused water
I like listening to some music or scrolling thru tumblr in the morning!
listen to music you love and you can dance to! this will give you energy to face your day!
a good alternative: a podcast!
recite a motivational quote. you got this!
- SKINCARE & EXERCISE -
wake up your skin by washing it thoroughly with cold water!apply makeup if you want: take your timebrush your hair n your teeth!if you have time for a morning shower go for it! it’ll make you feel super clean + make sure to put lotion and sunblock after!if you have time, i suggest exercising (morning yoga, some stretching, maybe a quick jog or walk around the block- this will expose you to vitamin d !!)
- DON’T FORGET -
if you take regular meds: take them now
so you don’t forget
so you can set up a routine for your body
if you have a planner/bujo: write out your tasks for the day and review them

24/4/16 // Back to my university library after two weeks at home! It’s so nice studying without being surrounded by screaming children. I’ve finished both of my coursework essays (8000 words… I am dead) so I’m now onto revision for my exams!! This module was taught SO badly so I’m basically teaching myself everything, yay…
