I swear on all that is holy…if I hear one more person say that certain celebrities don’t need PR and are above doing any sort of publicity stunt, I’m going back to school to get a degree in public relations and spend the rest of my life disabusing them of that notion. It will be my life’s mission.

I do not believe there is any celebrity, no matter how successful, popular, etc., that thinks to themselves “I am rich and famous enough. My work and reputation speak for itself. I have no need to promote my work or myself nor do I want to expand my fan base or audience. I have absolutely no additional career goals or anything else to achieve. I’ll just stay home, do nothing, and let the fates decide the success of my current project.”

It’s business. It’s what they do. People might think their fave is above it, but that’s not how the entertainment industry works. It’s all about creating buzz and most importantly, making money.
