I know we talk about how Verso's perfection mechanic is sad, but his final gradient attack makes me even sadder. Like. His family putting him on a pedestal, literally seeing him as a saint, as an angel, a halo above his head. And it making him unable to die, forcing him to keep fighting. Something something the dead being perceived as perfect, their flaws erased, their real character forgotten. Something something Verso unable to escape this life because of this sainthood that is forced upon him like another mask; made to die and come back because his-not-his family won't see the real him past the halo they created.
