The thing about the classic "game which initially appears to be a walking simulator about exploring a cave, then you make a Shocking Discovery which establishes the game's real genre" conceit is that there are really no limits on what that real genre can be. "Dungeon crawler" and "survival horror" are traditional, of course, but there's no rule that says the answer can't be "shop simulator".
