・❥・I love to play the piano and violin! I've been playing the piano for over 11-12 years now, and I'd say I'm quite good at it! I plan on posting plenty of piano covers and songs here! I've preformed in Italy, San Francisco, Louisiana, Chicago, Ogaki, and Tokyo! I hope to become a professional pianist as a side job when I grow up! I've only been playing the violin for a year or so, just as a school requirement, but I like it! Don't expect any fancy covers from me though~

・❥・I absolutely love writing! My first social media ever was Discord, (Tumblr is actually my second and latest social media), and I had joined Discord to work on my english writing and poetry! I can't speak english that much, but I study writing in the language almost daily! I started a poetry/literature club at my school, and I'm looking to expand my horizons further! I'll post stories and poems here, and I hope I can see my progress through this blog!

・❥・Jojo's Bizarre Adventure! It's one of the few comics I've read, but I absolutely adore it! (I need to skip the gory and inappropriate parts though.) I highly recommend it! The writing is amazing, and every character is memorable! I haven't watched most of the cartoon, but I'd bet it's just as good!

・❥・SCP! SCP is a massive collaborative horror fiction writing project, and I really enjoy it! You can access it at https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com, (if the link is incorrect or still a placeholder, my friend forgot to put it in for me), and it's stories are some of the best I've seen! I haven't personally wrote an article for the site yet, but I'm thinking of writing one for the japanese branch! Be sure to check it out!

・❥・Studying! I love studying and learning new things! If anyone needs any help with homework or anything academic in general, feel free to ask me! I'll be ecstatic to help! I'm aiming to become a doctor or either a virologist or a biologist when I become an adult, since my mother is a biologist and my father is a doctor!

Writing Tip of the Day!

A common mistake I usually see in fight scenes, especially in writing, is that the fighters so not show fatigue. Even highly trained professionals are exhausted after a few minutes if fighting, and their performance will decrease with exhaustion. Be sure you include this factor to make your fights more realistic, and it make your scenes less monotonous!

Writing Tip of the Day!

When writing haiku, I notice that most people will usually just write haiku into their stories for a sense of elegance, or beauty. What I notice about most Haiku is most of them are bland; they usually never delve further past material and superficial things.

When write haiku, and most poetry in general, make sure there are things past face level. Don’t lay everything out as soon as the poem is read, put hidden meaning, use symbolism, metaphors, anything to make your poem deeper on meaning. This will help make your poems and writing memorable, which will help improve your writing.

Writing Tip of The Day!

I am back from my hiatus! Here is a nice writing tip I have prepared for you all!

When writing, never be afraid to use external resources! Things such as google, a thesaurus, a dictionary, or other tools all are able to help your writing grow exponentially! I often see people neglecting these tools for the sake of being an “honest writer”, when in reality, using all of the tools at your disposal will help you and your writing grow. Never be afraid to ask for help, or to search up synonyms for a particular word. It’s worth the time!

Writing Tip of the Day!

Here’s a short one for today! When writing action scenes or combat, try your best to make everything simultaneous and fast-paced! I mistake I see a lot of writers make when writing fight scenes is that characters seem to take turns to do their actions, which should not be happening. Alternate between characters, have them feel impacts at the same time, don’t add awkward pauses, like a character catching a breathe after knocking down their opponent for a few seconds; just keep the flow going, your aim is to simulate the rush of adrenaline, so don’t ever deescalate the situation.

Writing Tip of the Day!

I’m sure everybody has tons of solutions for dealing with writer’s block, or a writing slump. Any solution is valid, but here’s mine!

In my personal opinion, the best way to deal with writer’s block or burnout is to do things you love! It might seem obvious, but do not force yourself to write unless absolutely necessary, or else you will grow to view writing as more of a “job”, rather than something you genuinely enjoy. As soon as you feel the onset of burnout, or fatigue from burnout, stop immediately! Do something else you enjoy for a few hours, spend time with loved ones! Bake a cake! Just do things that bring you joy for a while, and the next time you sit down, you’ll feel fresh and reinvigorated.

Second time posting art on this platform! Here’s SCP-105, Iris Thompson, one of my personal favorites SCP’s! After a few resolution mistakes, I’m finally done, and quite proud of it! It’s certainly not as good as my other art, but I hope people like it regardless! I was going to include her signature camera, but unfortunately, I have no idea how to draw cameras. Writing Tip of the Day!

I forgot to prepare a better tip for today, but here’s just some advice I wrote up on how to write better horror! I hope this is of use to you guys!

-Isolate your characters! A feeling of isolation in an unfamiliar environment is a fear almost all people share, and emphasizing loneliness can help you expand on the feeling of being completely, utterly alone!

-Body horror. This is a bit of a “cure-all” if you don’t know how to influence your readers to “feel” something. Hyperfocus on a wound or injury the character is feeling, describe every millisecond, every slight moment the character is experiencing pain. This gets old quick, so use it in moderation.

-What the reader feels is more important than the feelings of your protagonist! Your aim isn’t to scare your characters, it’s to scare your reader. Focus primarily on forcing these feelings onto your reader, set the atmosphere, make the narration unsettling, makes things seem off.

-Finally, utilize your own fears! You know your fears better than any other! Describe your own fears, scare even yourself; if the author is frightened, the reader will too.

Writing Tip of the Day!

To make dialogue feel more natural and leas forced, combine aspects of your character into words! Be sure to include flaws and personality in a character’s dialogue, and give each character a little “quirk” in their speech. For example, a rich billionaire could always shoehorn subtle mentions of money, an aggressive orc would fit threats in his dialogue, so on and so forth.

Never write dialogue that no real person would ever say! If dialogue wouldn’t normally come from a regular person in that situation, change it up to avoid stiff and robotic dialogue.

Writing Tip of the Day!

When you see writing you admire, never say things such as, “I wish I could write like you”, or, “I could never be as good as you!”

This helps reinforce negativity in your own writing, since if you don’t believe in your own writing, then the quality of it will drop as well. It’s great to praise people, but be sure to encourage yourself as well!

Ask them for tips! Say things like, “I really like/admire your work!” These things are harmless and even helpful, which will prove helpful in the future! Everyone can write well, you just need to try! We all start somewhere!

Some Quick Character Tips

Here are a handful of quick tips to help you write believable characters! 

1. A character’s arc doesn’t need to grow linearly. Your protagonist doesn’t have to go from being weak to strong, shy to confident, or novice to professional in one straight line. It’s more realistic if they mess up their progress on the way and even decline a bit before reaching their goal.

2. Their past affects their present. Make their backstory matter by having their past events shape them into who they are. Growing up with strict parents might lead to a sneaky character, and a bad car accident might leave them fearful of driving.

3. Give reoccurring side characters something that makes them easily recognizable. This could be a scar, a unique hairstyle, an accent, or a location they’re always found at, etc.

4. Make sure their dialogue matches their personality. To make your characters more believable in conversation, give them speech patterns. Does the shy character mumble too low for anyone to ever hear, does the nervous one pace around and make everyone else on edge? 

5. Make your characters unpredictable. Real people do unexpected things all the time, and this can make life more exciting. The strict, straight-A student who decides to drink at a party. The pristine princess who likes to visit the muddy farm animals. When character’s decide to do things spontaneously or in the heat of the moment, it can create amazing twists and turns.

6. Give even your minor character’s a motive. This isn’t to say that all your characters need deep, intricate motives. However, every character should need or want something, and their actions should reflect that. What’s the motive behind a side character who follows your protagonist on their adventure? Perhaps they’ve always had dreams of leaving their small village or they want to protect your protagonist because of secret feelings.

When writing freeform poetry, it is best to write only for yourself! This might seem obvious, but you should write as if nobody else will see it, and you are the only audience. This will allow you to express yourself better, and will represent more of “you!”
