like yeah. you're not a bad person just because you're disabled. but also you're not a good person for being abled. you're not a good person for being abled. it doesn't make you better than disabled people. you're not a good person for being abled. internalise it. it's not a reward. you did nothing to deserve this - because health is not something that people "deserve" or don't. it's something they have or not, for any number of reasons
goodnight to people who are unable to run goodnight to people who used to be known for 'running/skipping' everywhere until it became far too painful and dangerous goodnight to people who have a walking gait that shows deformity and 'disturbs others' goodnight to people who have limbs that 'move wrong' goodnight to people who walk with a limp goodnight to people who stumble and fall goodnight to people who use a mobility aid goodnight to people who use elevators goodnight to people who use shower-chairs goodnight to people who use ramps
It feels like this every time I write a fic
wishing all wheelchair users a nice, calm day where no one asks invasive questions or tries to move them without consent 💕
i love hearing what lines from film/tv people quote with their family all the time because they’re always niche and forgettable to everyone but that specific family
wait i’m curious reblog this with the lines you quote with your family, mine are “shut that gate” from withnail and i and “i’m not gonna eat dirt” from fantastic mr fox
not a quote but when someone says something stupid my family used to look for the camera like in the office.
fuuuuck that is my circus. are those…? yep… those are my monkeys….. goddammit.
Hate how lighting a candle does wonders to my mood. Like wowwww. Grug like fire? Grug not sad anymore because Fire in Cave? Wow. Real predictable of Grug.
Every time a small child starts crying or having a tantrum in my vicinity and I catch the parents glancing at me I’ve started saying “me when…”.
Friend kept trying to tell his crying kindergartener to calm down and relax and the kid growled “I AM relaxed” while visibly tensing every muscle in his body and I was like “oh that’s me at work every day” and we had a chuckle.
Parents look to other adults like “shit are they mad? Do they think my kid is acting like a demon?” And this response is my attempt to say “no. I think your kid is just acting like a human being.”
I WISH I could fling myself on the ground and cry because I experienced a minor inconvenience.
do you enjoy the rain (don’t vote without reblogging)

Whoever decided to force chronically ill/physically disabled kids to do p.e should be hunted for sport
are you normal about disabled people. are you normal about visibly disabled people in public. are you normal about wheelchair users. can you treat them like people instead of obstacles. can you look them in the eye. can you say hi to a disabled person without making an awkward reference to their disability first thing. can you mention disabled people without acting like they're some rare endangered species. can you talk about disabled people without feeling pity, sadness, or grateful for your own life. can you open the door for a disabled person without making it a big deal. are you normal about disabled people
*bleeding to death because the paramedics can’t break the windows to get me out of my stupid fucking truck* heha well at least i dont have to worry about the friggin Zombie Apocalypse… awesomesauce 😎
