I usually spend the night at home full of rage at people who buy firecrackers, but tonight I’m going out for a bit. But before then I’ll be creating a list of books to read in 2017, cleaning my kitchen, and having a nap.

It's 10:21 pm and I'm in bed. I drank a bottle of champagne at like 4 pm, napped, and ate Mexican food. I consider this a win. Don't have to worry about trying to stay up for midnight because excessive neighborhood fireworks are a guarantee 😠.

Last night my ZzzQuil Voxbox arrived from @influenster. I'm a terrible sleeper, so I gladly gave this complimentary product a shot. I usually take Melatonin, Benedryl, or some other type of OTC sleep aid a couple times a month. I also have difficulty staying asleep, so this product was right up my alley. I was surprised to see that one single night's pills were included. I don't think you can give a fair review of something, particularly something pharmacological, in one single use. At least give a few nights worth. I took this about 45 minutes before going to bed. I didn't get drowsy like I typically do; however, I fell asleep quickly. I also didn't stay asleep and at 2 am I was wide awake. I wouldn't say this product works any better or worse than other OTC sleep aids. The price point is higher than generics, so it's likely I will continue to stick to store brands instead.

So Katherine has a daytime nanny and now a night nurse, but no job. I'm not sure I understand why she's incapable of raising her own kids when she's literally doing nothing else? Oh to live off the benefits of a rich baby daddy.

I’m generally not one to publicly grieve these horrific tragedies, preferring to keep my thoughts private, but today hit too close to home.

I lived in Orlando during college. Most of my friends and all of my roommates were part of the LGBTQ* community there. I learned so much from them and my heart breaks today as I read their posts. Pulse was one of their favorite clubs back in the day. As college students coming into their own, this was a place they went to feel comfortable and welcomed. My roommate met her wife there.

Now, someone took this away and reminded us how much hate still exists. One of my friends is missing and it’s all fucking not fair.

Is it normal for the majority of my neighbors with kids to play in the front yard instead of the back? It shouldn't be for lack of space since all the lots are half acres. I'm just really confused why most play in the front/street (but not with each other) when there are huge and probably safer back yards.
