Barry was embarrassed to say the least. He just wanted to be a normal guy doing normal things with Felicity, not some speedster that could phase straight through her because he was excited. “I really like you, Felicity.”

“I really like you too, Barry” she assured him as she leaned in to give him a quick peck. “We can eat dinner, and then maybe watch a movie”

“Yeah, we can take a break whenever you want to.” He agreed. It was a beautiful day outside, the sun was shining and Barry just wanted to take a breather, to be able to not think about how messed up his life was at the moment and how much he blamed himself for just about everything that happened in this city.

“Great” she smiled as they walked, “Maybe some coffee too?” she also needed to worry about where she was going to stay for the night. She’d brought clothes, but it wasn’t like she had brought enough to last her more than a few days. All she knew was that she didn’t want to go back to Star City, that she wanted to stay where she was. “I feel like I haven’t had a good cup of coffee in days”

Barry’s face lit up at her response. Good. That is what he wanted to hear. He wound his way through a group of people before slowing down a little. “Sorry, I get excited and sometimes walk too fast.” He informed her. “I was almost expecting you to say no, I don’t know why…. you’re too nice.”

“Barry, it’s fine” she assured him, it was a work out for her legs, but she knew that she needed it. “But we can take a little break in a few minutes, right?” she wasn’t sure how long she’d be able to walk, she’d been up a while.

“Yeah, I’m alright. Are you okay?” He questioned in a worried manner. “Yeah, maybe we should focus on food.” That was less exciting. “Sorry for ruining the mood.”

“I’m fine” she assured him as she walked towards him to take his hand, “You did not ruin the mood. It might just take some time to see if we can work around that” but just as long as they were together, she knew she would be happy. “I’ll be happy as long as we are together”

Felicity could cause a lot of things to happen. Lots of chemistry set off in his body all at the same time, his endorphin levels running through the roof and making him so utterly happy. He lost himself in the kiss once more before completely losing control and phasing right through her to the other side of the counter. He barely caught himself as he stumbled forward. “Maybe we should take a breather.”

She’d really found it easy to lose herself in the kiss, it was almost normal. But then it seemed like there was nothing there, and she realized that he wasn’t there anymore. Confusion settled as she turned to find Barry on the other side of the counter, as her brain tried to process what had happened. “Are you okay?” she asked worriedly as she walked over to hm, “I think that might be a good idea, I don’t want you to do that again” especially since it appeared like it had been completely unexpected.
