trying to replicate blue drifter lighting.
Uses a gradient map, fog, and bloom. I think they did a very specific combo of values (grayscale) to get different color for each thing whether it is the floor or not. Something unshaded but not emissive so maybe an unlit shader plus a multiplier color. Will try later and report back for future reference
i drive the plane, My name is great0mouse
took me too long to get plane physics from scratch to feel good and there is still one little problem I don’t know how to fix but i will call it good. when you cut the engine you can reorient the plane in any way you like by spinning it on each of its axes via stick or key input. the green balls in the cockpit are the alien’s hands.
on to the next
The game play trailer is finally done and the store page is up on Steam. Working with Steam was a process and I learned a ton about how its run and how product is delivered to the customer. This is my first commercial release ever, and after 7 months, the longest creative project I’ve ever done. Hope you will check it out!

making progress on a menu
Some ice structures and cubes I added yesterday. I am getting closer to the content driven part where all the systems are in place and I can begin going nuts with adding stuff I think is cool.
updated the character select with colors, and a little motion blur. I wanted to put this gif somewhere so here it is. I am super excited to be trying to finishing this before school starts back up. I don’t want it added to the list of stuff I didn’t finish.
just finished GMTK game jam today at 3. The prompt was “Out of Control”
I made a scaling simulation(?) with lots of fun procedurally generated stuff! Last year I made a similar type of game but made it in 2d and didn’t have much of it at all generative. I was able to squeeze a ton of variation out of little systems this year. super fun jam, you can play it in browser by following the link below.
C>gobON.LINE is a virtual goblin simulator.
go do what goblins should. Bug the mostly peaceful shepherds, listen to cows, climb structures, take it all in, equipped with your procedural generated golden goblin gun. Be Careful not to let the gun get out of control though, it's pretty impartial...

been working on this. I like how on tumblr you can see all the things moving at once. its called Bunny Hill.
procedural map generation
This is a small project for school about procedural generation.
It went pretty well, this is a gif of the generation. It basically makes a bunch of collision boxes all in the middle (assorted circles and squares) and because they are colliders they spread out. I can change the amount of rooms and their horizontal or vertical spread bias.
After making all the rooms it culls a specific percent of rooms, (deleting them) and then creates a minimum spanning tree (the yellow web part). The minimum spanning tree is made using Prim’s algorithm which basically works as such: The tree is created by checking all the points close to a starting point, taking the closest point and adding it to a list, and then continuing on from that point. The points then form a tree in which they are all connected to the nearest next point. I need to look into that more, but that’s my current understanding.
Here’s the tilemap being carved and the stuff being placed! I’ll detail more of this later in another post.
munch munch time for lunch, here’s a gif of my card simulator. you can pick them up. you can put them down. you can move them all around!
they flip over and they spin. i need to add a shuffle button

I made this font, and it's available on Gumroad. For $2, you can use this pixel font for whatever you want.
This is an original pixel font. The download comes with both a True Type Font file and an Open Type Font file. Simply download and install.

The Main Theme for Get Apple, coincidentally titled “get apple”, is here. A chill little loop to get apples to. The game will have a total of 5 tracks, one for each season and a special extra track. Here is Track Number 1.
