any wild fang thoughts for the starved (me)?
Okk firstly idk if you’ve seen this post but it’s the most important stuff of my Wild Fang rewrite sooo in case you haven’t you might wanna start there
Also since it’s pride month I might as well give you my gender identity / sexuality headcanons for the gang
Okkk lemme start with Kyoya
Idk what it is about him but Kyoya is sooo trans to me (I’m projecting *cough cough*)
Also never seen anyone as gay as Kyoya Tategami ever actually lmaooo
And he’s ace (wich is again me projecting)
Also at first I was leaning towards headcanoning him as demiromantic cuz he doesn’t seem like the type to have crushes on people he doesn’t trust but upon further inspection I decided that actually I think he just doesn’t trust people in general but he very much does crush fairly easily, he would just never in a million years admit that he has a crush on someone (to himself or anyone else) 💀
Soo yeah trans (ftm, he/him), gay and ace :)))
Damure is also trans (ftm) because, fun fact if you didn’t know, in the Japanese anime dub Damure was actually a girl (in the manga he’s always been male tho) sooo a perfect excuse to hc another character as transmasc for meee
I think Demure cares a lot less about being perceived as a guy than Kyoya tho
Maybe he even uses he/they pronouns?
I also think he loves dangly earrings and long necklaces and he wears skirts and dresses occasionally hihi
Also as much as I love kyodem and denile (is that their ship name???) I think Damure is very much aroace

Something about Nile also gives me trans vibes, tell me to stop actually hgxbdvxhdh
Well who knows maybe he is, maybe he isn’t, doesn’t actually matter that much
I think Nile is pansexual :))
And he is most definitely the one who’s most open about being queer
Which leaves Benkei as the token cis friend lmao
Also Benkei is a bisexual baby but I don’t think he realized that yet, bless his heart

I have a lottt of Kyoya lore so if you’re interested feel free to send me another ask about that but for now I’m just gonna give you some more random headcanons
In my au Kyoya is 15 years old in Fusion (16 in Masters, 17 in Fury)
Since I did the research for my mayblade day 1 drawing I have gotten a little attached to the idea of Kyoya being born in the Okinawa prefecture, specifically I settled on Naha because it is the economically most significant city in the prefecture (and considering TC is a fairly big company I thought that made the most sense)
Leone was his very first bey and he got it from his dad which is probably why he cares about it so much
Also Kyoya most definitely used to be a scene kid when he was younger

(He doesn’t get both his scars at the same time in my au which is why he only has one here)
And I think while Kyoya doesn’t dress scene anymore I think he still listens to emo and pop punk stuff
Also he wouldn’t be caught dead without eyeliner
Another hc of mine is that Kyoya’s English is actually a little broken, just a bit worse than the rest of the cast’s
Probably because he just didn’t have the option of properly learning a second language (considering he lived on the streets for a while in my au)
But also just because it’s a little endearing (Kyoya would hate the damage this does to his intimidation factor lmao)
Last hc for Kyoya: Besides blading I think he likes drawing, he’s pretty good and his second most prized possession is definitely an extremely crusty 500 page sketchbook that he’d never show anyone
(I’m currently not really sure what I wrote in the post I linked at the top so I hope I’m not repeating myself to much)
Damure is 17 in Masters (18 in Fury)
He is Ghanaian, specifically Gonja and grew up in the Savannah Region
My favorite thing about Damure in canon is how easily he is underestimated
He can definitely do so much cool stuff you’d never expect from him
For example that boy can definitely ride a horse
And considering he grew up in a warrior tribe he might not look it but he could probably best you in fair physical combat
Also this is kinda random and not really relevant to anything but I think he had a lisp when he was younger (or maybee I’m projecting again cuz I had a lisp when I was younger)
Lastly I think Damure would be really into music, all kind of music
I think he’s kind of an encyclopedia on genres and their history
He probably has a fantastic taste in music but I wouldn’t know cuz my music taste literally fucking sucks
And boy have I been thinking about Nile a lot lately (which btw Crin I blame YOU for that personally (/pos I’m having a blast, I haven’t been this obsessed with Nile since I was like 14))
Nile is 16 in Masters (17 in Fury)
But honestly what am I talking about? Who is Nile?? I only know Nayel (نايل)
Cuz honestly what Egyptian parent would name their kid Nile (No but fr this is just my name system obsession striking again, I just can’t help but be a nerd about names 🫠)
Nayel btw can mean “achiever” or “successful” which I honestly think suits his character quite well
His full name btw is Nayel ibn Tariq Al-Sabah (نائل بن طارق الصباح) (-> Nayel son of Tariq Al-Sabah, Al-Sabah meaning of the morning which I chose for no particular reason other than it’s cute)
In all honesty tho I don’t wanna explain that Nile’s name is Nayel in every post I make about him, soo I’m gonna keep referring to him as Nile 😔
Also Nile is a total city boy to me and also a history buff
Sooo I went for the best of both worlds and decided he’s from Alexandria (iykyk)
(Also been playing with the thought of him having an older sister/sibling but I already have way to many mfb OCs so I’m holding back as long as I can before I cave lmao)
Nile is also the most fashionable person one will ever meet
He knows his silouette, he knows what colors look good on him, he’s incredibly good at doing makeup, he loveees golden jewelry
And additionally he’s just also unfairly pretty, so honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d done a few modeling jobs in the past
Nile and Damure both are muslim in my au
Altough I think Damure would be a lot more strict in his beliefs while for Nile it’s more of a cultural thing
(Damure would definitely pay attention to never missing any of his five daily prayers while Nile might partake in fasting during Ramadan depending on if he felt like it this year)
Admittedly tho neither of them really pay attention to dressing modestly according to Islamic clothing rules….. 😔
Last one to go: Benkei :)))
Honestly I have unfortunately little thoughts on Benkei :(
Benkei is 18 going on 19 in Fusion (19 in Masters, 20 in Fury)
He’s from Metal Bey City (which I tend to call Beyshi (ベイし) in my au which technically just means Bey City in Japanese and isn’t canonically the Japanese name, I just think sounds slightly better than Metal Bey City (メタルベイシテイ) and atp I do literally whatever I want with my au lmao)
I am still kinda fidgeting with a concept in which Benkei’s also partially African so we can have more nice rep for the only African team in the show but it’s very much still a wip…
Other than that… I mean I loveeeee your benkei goes to culinary school hc, it’s literally so peak and should be canon YESYESYES
I think he’s liked cooking ever since he was a little kid, he probably cooked with his parents a lot when he was little and found his love for it this way :)))
Also I think he works out a lot of
(Like yeah he’s fat but that doesn’t have to mean he isn’t strong!!! He just also bulks a lot but he’s def muscular underneath, like he has a sumo build almost)
This is literally kinda canon even so if someone disagrees argue w the wall
Also I think he’s a baseball fan, like idk why but he’s giving me baseball fan vibes…… mmhh

Also I would give you thoughts on Wild Fang’s dynamic but I think I would just parrot all your own hcs back to you cuz you are JUST SO RIGHT ABOUT THEM
Like yeah they steal and wear eachothers clothes all the time
Yes Benkei is the only one aloud in the kitchen and if he needs some help he is asking Nile and Nile only
Yes kyodem and nileben took way longer warming up to each other than kyonile/kyoben/bendem/denile but now they are all the closer for it (using the ship names platonically here)
Kyoya is definitely protective as hell over his friends teammates but especially Damure
Nile and Benkei actually love hanging out and just being within each other’s general vicinity even if they are doing different things in silence
JUST IDK THEY CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER (as little as a couple *cough cough* members wanna admit that)
