Look around you. Appreciate what you have. Nothing will be the same in a year.

Mint is a weird flavour, how can something taste like cold?
Menthol, a chemical found in mint leaves, activates the same ion-channel protein in your nerves as a drop in temperature, causing the same sensation.

Why is the Christmas message so special?
Let’s look at this verse first:
“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6)
Now this one:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16-17)
Isaiah the prophet spoke of the birth of our Savior, and John the Evangelist later preached the message of our Savior. Both of these verses make me cherish the message of Christmas for this reason:
Both verses speak of God giving us His most precious gift. God GAVE His ONLY Son, Jesus, as a gift for YOU AND ME. A gift for what? Well, because God loves each and every single one of us with unconditional love, He gave us His absolute BEST. His perfect, sinless, flawless Son. His ONLY Son, whom He knew 33 years later WILLINGLY go to a Cross to die for sins He was not guilty of committing. They were OUR sins. He died on the Cross so that WE could be saved from an eternity away from God. Christmas reminds me of Jesus’ sacrifice. His birth is God’s gift to us, because without it, we would have no Jesus… meaning that ultimately, we would have no salvation and relationship with God.
THANK YOU LORD! Let us not forget all You have done for us!
