It’s the sparkliest day in the roller derby calendar! We’re very excited to announce that the Louisey Rider Cup is back for 2018. - Once again Nottingham Roller Girls will be celebrating the life of their teammate Louise Wright, aka Louisey Rider #66, who was sadly killed in a cycling accident in 2014. If you knew Louise you’ll immediately understand why a day of roller derby followed by a massive party is the best way to remember her, and if you didn’t you’ll experience a day that encapsulates Louise’s spirit. - The last two years have raised a total of £7,000 for road safety charity Brake, and Nottingham Roller Girls will be supporting them again this year, to get past that £10,000 milestone! - This event is family friendly so feel free to bring your little ones along.

Welcome to Brazilian Love Affair - a night dedicated to the flavours of Brazil, past and present. Think Arthur Verocai, Joyce, Milton Nascimento, Flora Purim & Airto Moreira, Ed Motta and beyond mixed up with Kenny Dope on one of his brazilica journeys, Kaytranada flipping Gal Costa samples, Jay Dilla giving it some Rico Suave Bossa Nova or Gilles Peterson's Sonzeira band on one of their samba shuffles. You know the deal. What started as a series of yearly popular online podcasts is now going LIVE with DJ Beane from the @soul_buggin Soul Buggin’ collective throwing down those rhythms from 9pm and shuffling on till 2am at @jamcafe. A foot tapping, finger clicking, voice losing, mini music festival in the heart of Nottingham. In collaboration with Think in NG , Hard Heads & Hang Ups is absolutely buzzing to bring to you ; Busk Off ! A showcase of some of the best local musical talent from all genres, strutting their stuff, all in the name of fundraising. There'll be food, drinks, dancing and lots and lots of incredible music. Entry is completely free, though there will be donation points should you wish to pop a few pennies towards our next fund total. All monies will be allocated on the night of May 15th, when in conjunction with Nottingham soup, we will, local initiatives will again be invited to come down and pitch their ideas to an audience. All initiatives will focus on mental health and the arts.

This is the opening night for the Spring Open Exhibition, Cover Versions. Artists have been challenged to create work the size of an LP cover in any medium of their choice. Work displayed has been curated by the gallery and will be reviewed by a panel of independent judges to select an overall winner.
