Even after all the horrible shit he’s done, I honestly feel really bad for Overhaul.

Like, when he first showed up he was always so calm and composed and had everything under control.

But now he’s been pushed to his limit, he’s having the one thing he needs most taken from him (even though he didn’t deserve her to begin with), and his dreams and the dreams of the man that saved him and raised him are being crushed right in front of him.

And you can tell by the way he’s talking, he’s scared, he’s hysterical and he knows he’s failed but he won’t give up yet because that’s how much the old boss and his dream means to him. And honestly it’s kind of hard not to feel for him, no matter how awful he’s been.

“For me. Izzy is a busy man, what with his experiments.”

The teen grinned, smoke curling around his face as he let out a laugh. “I vet his appointments, see, like a good friend. If I think someone is a scum that’ll do him more harm than good, I refrain from divulging his latest safehouse location.”

“I see...” So this Sho operated much like Kurono did, delegating meeting for the capo and deigning whether it was worth the time and effort. Not too different from the normal business routine.

“So I’m guessing this means he often has other clientele looking for him?...In any case, all I ask is a meeting to lay my offer on the table for him. Nothing more or less.”

“Sho…”

He says simply. No further elaboration. Another long drag on his cigarette.

“Sho...” Overhaul tests the name, finding it simple. Too simple. Probably a nickname of sorts. No matter, at least he had a name to match the face. And glancing back at his face...Ah, seems his eyes were two different colors. One happened to be a blue that...reminded him of a certain someone that made his lips curl in disgust.

Alright then Sho...If one would want to find this Izzy, where should they be looking?”

He flicks open his hand to light a fire on his finger so he can ignite the end of his cigarette. The teen takes a long drag and blows it out with a chuckle.

“I’m his friend.” He doesn’t elaborate further, but his steely mismatched eyes betray that at least on one side there is more than ‘friend’ feelings.

“And do you have a name, per chance?” Overhaul urges, eyes narrowing at the too little information this stranger gives him. He obviously knows this Izzy fellow, and from what he can tell they must be somewhat close.

“Izzy isn’t an asset you can control.”

Shoto wipes a tear away from his scared eye as he straightens up. “Izzy just…is.”

“Everyone has their prices and vices, I’m sure I could come to some arrangements with this individual. Anyone can be made malleable with the right persuasion. Just because the silly League of Villains fail to keep his interest does not mean I will.” Overhauls states, in a manner as if he was stating facts.

“You seem awfully knowledgeable about him...Just who are you, if I may ask?”

“You wanna…recruit him?” Shot stared for a moment before he burst out laughing, hard and loud enough that he had to grab his middle doubling over.

“Oh you poor poor fool.”

Overhaul does not enjoy made a fool of, and has made prime example of people in the past that have dared laugh at him. However, he keeps his wits and patience about him as he waits for the other to cease his laughing.

“May I ask what you find so amusing about the prospect of bringing him into my keep?”

“No. He just likes to…experiment.” Sho crosses his arms and cocked his head to the side slightly.

“You’re one of league assholes?”

“The League of Villains? Oh no, you are quite mistaken. I operate under my own regime. The League and I are discussing some arrangements, however.” Overhaul pauses as he takes in details of the young man before him. “Let’s just say I’m scouting for some addition help and this Izzy has made a bit of a name for himself on the streets.”

Well at least someone had answered his question, although he doesn’t recognize the person in question. “Body parts? Are they some kind of collector or cannibal?”

“How does one summon this Izzy character?”
