After seeing my comics of my ocs coming back on tumblr, I decided to post that one comic I made for the @toloveyouzine : a sapphic anthology.

The quilt!!! The Good Luck quilt !!!! just there on instagram with 60 likes on it!!!!!!!!! oh man i was looking SO HARD. i've started to do a guide to all the good luck symbols that were on it but my quest is basically over!! The edges of it aren't clear, but this is basically everything we DON'T see in the film! oh man, I feel lightheaded.

in almost every other children's book where the main heroine is swept away to a land of whimsy she's shown having a lovely time; braving dangers occasionally, trying to find her way home, sure, but ultimately delighting in the magic around her. meanwhile alice spends her entire time in wonderland like

look, here’s the thing: alice in wonderland’s enduring fucking charm is that it perfectly captures the vibe of being a very tired and annoyed child who is nonetheless required to play along with adult nonsense.

alice is dragged from place to place without warning, forced to play stupid games with no good prizes, grilled over her schooling and manners and recitation and dress, scolded, judged, insulted to her face, sent away, given gifts she didn’t ask for and doesn’t like, corrected incorrectly, been subject to shifting and arbitrary rules, and then when she gets snappish with all this bullshit everyone acts like a little girl’s temper is the end of the fucking world.

alice in wonderland isn’t a drug trip or a nightmare or a metaphor, that’s just what being ten years old is LIKE. that’s why kids love it so much. even if they can’t quite articulate how, they recognize themselves in it.

Good day, besides Sun Wukong, Bajie, & Sha Wujing, & other characters with a history/historicity in mythology or legend, do you know of any other deified fictional characters?

Good day! And while that is an interesting question I say it is actually commonplace for historical figures to be deified. People like Heracles, who was stated to be a real person once, Roman emperors such as Augustus, who was deified by the Senate, and figures like Imhotep in Egypt, who became a god of medicine.

As for fictional characters, that is harder to say since the farther back you go, the harder it is to determine whether these characters are based on real people or not, or just pure legends. Like Gilgamesh is a popular demigod in story but I don't know if he was like based on a real man or not. And maybe that could be said with any early myth when they were getting started, eventually becoming more about the legend of individuals rather than real people who started them.

But if you are interested in people who get defined in myt,h then Greek, Roman, and Chinese mythology would probs be the most popular trend of this happening, at least from what I know. Hell Investiture of the Gods is ALL ABOUT just people from earth becoming gods at the end so like A LOT THERE. Just read that and you will have like 200 people that were deified easily.

minor spoiler : I’m guessing the Atsu hot spring dialogue is totally random, I've got to Teshio Ridge and started Oyuki’s quest for a little while(before the twist happened) and I ended up finding the hot spring at the Red Crane Inn. I got in, and then out of nowhere Atsu goes: "I haven’t slept with anyone in a while. It’d be nice to have someone to sleep with again."(Sexually? I don't know. Maybe it just meant sleeping next to someone in a platonic way.)

I think it was just a random line, but the timing was perfect cause right around then I was already thinking Atsu and Oyuki have a gay thing going on lol

my friends and I have created a game we call Quipposting, where you play quiplash but you roll a wheel full of character archetypes, and whatever it lands on, you all answer as if you are like, a wizard or cowboy. This legitimately makes quiplash go from a fun enough game to an S+ tier absolute unabashed banger

Lads we've done it again.

Me and my incredible super amazing jaw dropping talented friend @calista-222 continued on from that first reanimation of LMK and did another one ! (season 3, episode 9) BUT THIS TIME WITH MAD COOL COLORS AND BACKGROUNDS ??? WHAOG

I did the inbetweening and lip synching, and super duper amazing @calista-222 did the keyframes, colors (+ lights and shadows), and backgrounds. Storyboarding and figuring out the movements was a team effort, and it was really fun ✨
