Are there any clear markers in the Manga of how much time has passed so far? Like, seasons passing, changing clothes, Anya's school stuff maybe? The second Opening suggests multiple seasons have passed, but that could just be a stylistic choice, I guess.

Chapter 26/ 27 (Yuri tutors/ Daybreak) - Mid-term exams

Chapter 44-56 (Cruise Arc) - Mid-term break

We've not come to 1st term finals yet. Becky has stated the kids will likely get divided up into new classes based on their end-of-term finals results, so that would be another marker when we come to it.

This means that we're probably only 2 months or so into the school year. If we're going by Japanese school terms, the first term is ~April to August, meaning the Cruise Arc would have taken place May/June-ish, which makes sense given how it feels very summery. We've also not seen the winter coat that they had to buy Anya at the tailor's yet

But if we assume the application process would have taken place a few months before start of term (Nov? Dec?), the Forgers would have probably been together for ~ half a year at this point, and the school year, barely begun.

It's the longest school year ever.

I love seeing everyone's take on the spy family timeline. In my headcanon, it follows a more western school term so the story started with enrollment around August. Mid-terms would be in the fall and then the cruise is also in the fall (more tropical considering they're at a resort island). And the current chapters would be around Oct/Nov (honestly I'm just basing this off of the fact that Endo is drawing Loid and Yor in more sweaters/cardigans/long sleeves haha).

Twilight's the one who tucks Anya into bed at night and the one who wakes her up in the morning.

I like to think it's because he knows he doesn't get to spend as much time with his daughter as he would like to. But he can be the first person she sees when she gets up in the morning, and the last person she sees when she goes to sleep. It also means his day can be bookended by Anya.

He is such a dad. 🥲

Twilight has up to now in the manga only twice consciously remembered his childhood. To a time when he was the person before Loid, the person behind Twilight.

The first was when he saw Anya cry which led him to remember the cruelties of war and loneliness, and to decide he wanted to provide her a home.

The second was when he saw Yor’s strength - but also vulnerability. And given what happened to his loving mother, decided he wanted to keep his home with Yor - as Anya’s mama, and at his side playing the role of his wife.

These moments were when [redacted] was at his most truthful. No lies, no embellishments. Just him, the *real* him. And the fact that it’s his daughter and wife who spurred this in him and allowed him to *feel* is 🥹

THEORY: Twilight's Real Name?

I personally headcanon that Twilight's real name is Rollo (in Japanese, it's written ロロ).

It follows Endo's naming convention for all of Twilight's aliases starting with that Lo/Ro/ロ sound (Roland, Lionel, Lawrence, Robert).

It's got German origin and seems fitting since it means "wolf" (alluding to Twilight and his "lone wolf" persona). -> Taken from https://nameberry.com/babyname/rollo [Meaning: From the name hrodwulf from the Germanic hrod, meaning "fame" and wulf, meaning "wolf".] Funny since Twilight is this (in)famous lone wolf spy 😂

Then in chapter 62.3 when he reunites with his friends, someone else calls him by his alias "Roland" and his childhood friend says, "Roland? But your name's [redacted]." To which he replies, "Oh...that's just a nickname."

Rollo/Rolo is a common nickname for Roland.
